Issue #1 box-set will feature all six cover variants by Andy Price
The My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic comic book series from IDW Publishing, written by Katie Cook and illustrated by Andy Price will be coming out this November in-stores and online. The synopsis for Issue #1 of the four-part story has been released:
Welcome to Ponyville, home of Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and all your other favorite Ponies! Something’s not right in the town though, as some of the inhabitants are acting very, very strange! It’s up to the Mane Six to find the source of the weirdness before it’s too late!
The story of the comic books will not duplicate the stories of the show.
The first issue will have six standard covers drawn by Andy Price featuring one pony each and an extra cover designed by Jill Thompson will be available exclusively in-store. A second, rarer guest artist cover will be drawn by Stephanie Buscema.
A box set (pictured up top) featuring all of the ‘mane six’ covers of Issue #1 by Andy Price will be available for purchase as well.

And what the hay is up with the box set cover using what looks like crappy vectors as opposed to… I dunno… comic art?!
At least they are show accurate images on the box. Most packaging for FIM merch has the original vectors with pointy noses.

The only “complaint” I have is the extra-heavy portions valentine hearts. Valentine hearts everywhere! Hope you like pink!
I love the art Andy Price does, and I’ve seen his demo/test stuff for this comic. I love them. But that packaging… :P
