» Review: IDW Pony Comic Micro Fun Packs

IDW Publishing has been printing the current My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic books for a year now, and it’s hard to believe just how popular they have been. Critically and financially, they’re a success that has exceeded most expectations. But now IDW are experimenting with a way to expand their reach, and they’re using the popular Pony series as a test. Last month they started rolling out MLP Comic Fun Packs, primarily aimed at retail stores, and comic shops will take stock of them as well. Aimed at kids and collectors alike, the mini-comics try a mixture of comic and mystery box to lure new fans into the Pony fold.

» A Change in Focus: A TRS Update

A note to all readers of TRS:

Due to constraints on my time and the saturation of news sites in the fandom, The Round Stable will no longer be covering up to the minute news about Friendship is Magic; whether it is related to the show, comic books, merchandise, the fandom, or other media.

From now on, all content posted on the front page will be long-form featured content only. Editorials, reviews, analysis, TRS Round Tables, and so on will continue as they have in the past. Our staff of writers will continue to write long-form coverage of the show, fandom, comics, and more. If you are interested in submitting such things, we are always interested in working with giving people a platform for their views, even if they are outside of our community.

If you are interested in news about the show and fandom, please check out sites like Derpy Hooves News, The Daily Oat, My Little Pony News, and Everfree News
