holy fucking shit this infernal GHB is the least fair thing i've ever laid eyes on

i thought for sure this was the end of the line, which is why i even took this screenshot. but, apparently, Felicia was somehow able tank this flier's 51 ATK/41 RES Iceberg while she was debuffed by Panic Ploy and then finish him off with Glacies and Close Counter

after that i had to carefully dispose of the bow cavalry and lance flier that spawned in. the flier was last sitting on that left water tile and i had to move Genny up two spaces from where she was to kill him, that way i could have Nowi attack the red knight and be repositioned safely away from the green one by Felicia

absolutely no part of this GHB was free, much less even remotely worth all of the trial and error and stamina it consumed

this is how my winning team ended up:

i literally promoted two Nowis to 5* and merged my neutral one to a -HP +RES nature just so i could clear this fucking voodoo dumpster fire of a map. everything these four had turned out to be 100% necessary but Felicia was no doubt the MVP because Rogue Dagger + ATK Smoke is the only thing that even made this clusterfuck look like it could be overcome

I managed to do the map with my elite horse emblem squad: Elise, Frederick, Brave Roy, Reinhardt
I needed to give Elise atk ploy and Frederick close def so that he could tank a hit. The star was deffo Galeforce Roy with Heavy Blade seal though, who could trigger his special in one turn when buffed by Elise and getting counter attacked.
But even then I needed to use 2 stamina bottles worth of tries cause every time I though it was almost over new idiots spawned.

Reinhardt makes it much easier, yeah. I used my usual go-to team of brave ike/reinhardt/azura/arvis

Brave ike moved left and tanked the blue manakete, everyone else followed him. Then on turn 2 brave ike finished off that manakete and reinhardt took out both the blue cavalier and the sword dragon, and baited in Lyon. Even on infernal, lyon is so slow that he can't double reinhardt, and this was the key discovery to win the map, because it let me get ahead of the curve a bit.

After that it was just a whole mess of zooming around with reinhardt annihilating fools while arvis and brave ike teamed up to kill the green mages/green manaketes. Ten tries or so I think?

I didn't get Airzura on the New Years banner, in fact I had like 5 pulls in a row with zero green orbs, but the new Legendary Heroes banner made up for it with Axezura.

I got seashell frederick in my first set of pulls from that banner. I don't actually know what to do with him, but he's funny.

I'm primarily aiming to get the legendary ike, PA azura, and maybe a faye for firesweep bow. Firesweep weapons are great; I recently switched my +speed cordelia over to firesweep lance and it's fucking insane how good she is. Now if only something could be done about her weird face artwork

Other stuff that's going to happen around the anniversary if you missed the channel: 50 free orbs, 25 days of 2 orb/day special maps, 7 rotating returning GHBs, a few other special maps, and a banner with nephenee/sigurd/blyn/bike and 5% pull rate.

Generally happy about the results all around. Veronica coming out of nowhere and Celica on top for the girls.

And hell yes Leif made it to #9 for the men (Reinhardt to #5 lmao, glad that overpowered minor boss from FE5 is so popular.) No way they can ignore Thracia any longer though. The people have spoken.

Well, you say that, but thracia is probably still not a priority. I would imagine they have the various releases planned a long time in advance, so the results of this poll probably won't change much beyond just determining which four brave units they'll be doing next.

I threw my 50 free orbs plus some extras I purchased at the Legendary Ike banner and all I eventually got out of it was Siegbert.

I was hoping for L.Ike to join his brothers Ike and B.Ike to complete the Trikefecta.

The new valter GHB is a reinforcement map! Yeah, another one!

So I've been trying to do these WITHOUT just using the same old team, but in the end i had to do the infernal with bike. I did substitute reinhardt though. Instead I spammed firesweep weapons:

I think some sort of powerful blue guy with good movement is absolutely necessary for this infernal; cordelia was doing far more work than soleil because of all the terrain bullshit everywhere. Also bike can just do this turn one:

which is an excellent head start on killing everyone. Watch out for assholes spawning in the back because they do that a LOT.

Valentine's banner is up. Lyn is a blue tome armor unit, Hector is an axe armor unit, Lilina is a green tome cavalry unit, and our boy Roy is an archer cavalry unit.

No sign of Eliwood, but given that huge lance he's got in the art that was posted above, I'm guessing he'll be a lance cavalry unit.

Also, got Valentine's Lyn in two draw attempts. Spent the rest of my orbs on green stones, didn't get Hector or Lilina, though.
