I'm curious what a character that Pinkie can't stand would be like.

Sounds like a straight up case of jealousy on Pinkie's part. She wouldn't have Maud all to herself anymore.

It's a wild guess but I wouldn't be surprised if Maud's boyfriend would be as emotionless (from the outside) as Maud herself but Pinkie is struggling to comprehend his emotional reactions (or lack of) but accepting Maud's.

Maybe it's someone like Maud but where Maud enjoys Pinkie's antics this guy is like "nah, don't do that"

Or another idea: A former clone of the mirror pool appears and he befriends with Maud. When Twilight hears of that she wants to blast the clone away but then Twilight gets a bad conscious for destroying a friendship and "killing" hundreds of Pinkie Pies.

That wasn't a very good episode.
Pony Sheldon is Pony Sheldon, and Pinkie was just an idiot.
Vision of friends was good, as was the rock farm

This was an okay episode. You always know what you're getting with Maud. I wasn't crazy about Sheldon Pony but I guess Maud sees something in him. At least he got her to smile a little more.
Pinkie's visions of the Opposite Mane 6 were good.

I think Maud was better at the, "This pony is weird, but for the sake of good relations, we'll get along" shtick.
And I never want to see Mud Briar again.
The bits with everyone else were okay.

The highlight of the episode was seeing the other Pie sisters again. Limestone Pie is one blunt pony. Not really a fan of BBT, so Mudbriar did not do much for me.
Still, we got to see Maud smile.

I think it was the whole point to make him as unlikable as possible (unlike Sheldon from BBT) to make clear that sometimes there are hidden qualities that don't come to light at first glance, or second, or third...
But man... I HATE this stick in the mud.
I want to see more Limestone and Marble instead.
BTW: Did Pinkie Pie suggest stoning Mud Briar?

It's always nice to see Maud and the other Pie sisters, though overall it was a "meh" episode. I kinda wanted them to focus more on the dynamics between Maud and Mudbriar. Pinkie was weirdly shitty the whole episode, and I don't get why, other than Mudbriar annoyed her that one time.
"I never learned to read" was definitely the highlight.

I think Pinkie Pie was so "shitty" this episode because she is jealous that another pony has a better relationship with Maud than the self-proclaimed best friend herself. Firstly it was the mystery why an unlikable pony can be friends with Maud, and then it was that the unlikable pony has a better understanding of Maud's likes and dislikes.
