Watched it tonight... not sure it really holds up out of context, 3.5 years later. Who even remembers half of the fandom references in this one?

As someone who, when originally watching it, had no idea what most of the references were, I honestly found (and still find) the episode to be a wildly entertaining ride. "Slice of Life" is an episode where the sheer absurdity of the storyline carries it along, with the build-up to the "Gummy speech" (including the speech itself) being one of my favorite comedic moments in the show.
It's somewhat brilliantly done, because even if you don't "get" the references (like I didn't when I first saw it), the story and comedy are mostly intended to be amusing and funny by themselves.

But...
This one's too young
