When Trixie is invited to bring her magic show to the far off land of Saddle Arabia, she can think of nopony better to bring along than her great and powerful assistant, Starlight' but, not all friends are meant to travel together.
This thread is for discussion of the episode. This episode airs at 8:25am AEST on Saturday, August 18 / 6:25pm US EDT on Friday, August 17 on Boomerang in Australia!

Official preview clips and images are okay to post, as is speculation about the episode.

Wait what? We will finally see the land of Saddle Arabia?!? Or is it just a fake-out and the episode ends before they arrive there?

Wonderful question isn't it. I could see it going either way.

I don't like Starlight
I don't like Trixie

But for some baffling reason, the two of them teamed up is usually pretty darn entertaining. And we might get a look at Saddle Arabia. Looking forward to this one.

For those not aware, this and the next two episodes have been released in French.

I enjoyed this one. Starlight and Trixie arguing was funny. Thier song was good, and it pretty much cemented all the shipping.

I like Glimmy but she did make a big mistake in trading away Trixie's wagon. I guess it's another example of her doing things on impulse without thinking it through.

It would have been nice to see more of Saddle Arabia.

I see Twilight and Cadence haven't forgotten thier ladybug song. :-I

was wondering how Flurry was going to get some exposure this season.

I actually did enjoy this one. Trixie and Starlight continue to play off each other well, and by once again totally disregarding the feelings of others and trading Trixie's wagon, I can continue to say Starlight is the worst pony.

Wish we had seen Saddle Arabia though.

Not bad, not bad. BuuuUuuuut....
There are so many ways their nightly sleep could be resolved peacefully if they thought of the simplest solutions.
A tent, a tent on the roof, ear plugs, a second wagon for storage, not giving away other people's properties and or housing.
Dick move pinkish-but-still-somewhat-purple-not-Twilight.

And why was that guy so eager to trade down his wagon? Did I miss an explanation?

It was funny and the episode flew by. It wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. The GREAT AND POWERFUL TRRIXXIE don’t need no man.

Yo, I loved this one. I expected the moral would be that they'd learn to compromise by sleeping outside the wagon in tents, not that they'd admit they weren't the type of people who could put up with the stresses of traveling on a shoestring budget. It's important to learn about yourself and your limits instead of going to massive lenths 100% of the time to make something work.

As I saw it, he loved Trixie's act and both wanted to help her and own something of hers. Trixie's wagon is heavily decorated in her own style, after all.

Yeah, I was surprised they decided to just give up on the trip, and that was presented as just fine.

Also, I was shocked that the rocket scene didn't happen here. I can't imagine it happening in any of the later episodes this season, so it must be in the holiday special.

The episode was a lot of fun, though comparing it to other StarTrix episodes, "All Bottled Up" still beats it in terms of humor.

Pretty good episode; Starlight and Trixie play off each other very well, for better or worse. Nice song, too.

That said, I'd have liked to see at least a throwaway line about why Trixie's so attached to her wagon. It's not even her first one -- that got squashed by the Ursa Minor. THe only hint was Starlight having trouble lifting it by herself. And the dude refusing to trade back was... strange.

Plus, yeah, where's that rocket?

Well, if I had my own wagon painted in gray and blue and green-stripe accents, one that I'd built and rebuilt and used over the years, and a friend who was annoyed and irrational suddenly decided to give it away to a slightly strange unicorn who just so happened to be following me around the world for days, I'd be pretty upset about the sentimental loss as well.

You guys, I'm so stoked to be able to watch this episode while I write about it on my spanking new laptop!

* Ha, everypony thinks Twilight and Cadance are dorks. Because they are dorks.
* Have we seen Penn & Teller ponies on this show ever? We must have at some point, right?
* I like the Saddle Arabia pony & accent -- quasi-sorta-Arabic but original enough to not be a lazy, blatant caricature of a real-world culture.
* Friends can be friends, but friends can't always be roommates. :nnngh:
* I've played enough Infocom games to know they are SO gonna regret not bringing that inflatable raft.
* Ponies are their own beasts of burden. Efficient!
* SONG
* Just a quick shortcut through Hell, no big deal. :good:
* I could watch the Trixie And Starlight Show pretty much forever.
* Starlight is *this* close to disintegrating Trixie.
* Ha, and as usual, Starlight just ups and does the obvious (to Starlight) right thing without consulting anybody.
* The worst part of being broke in Saddle Arabia is there's no pine cones to eat.
* Not shown: Starlight brutally killing all the crocodiles. But we know that's what happened.
* The ad-libbed chant is AMAZING
* And I like that they didn't go on to have a mega-successful tour. The main conflict's resolved and the heroes don't have to win on every level.

I didn't have a lot of comments because I was too busy enjoying the episode. This one was marvelous. :ohboy:

Yes, in the first Las Pegasus episode.

One weird thing: Saddle Arabians looked like horses in their earlier appearance:

They all look pretty consistent to me. Tall, thin, long and slender muzzle, and even his horn seems to match that same aesthetic even if the other two are (the apparent equivalent of?) earth ponies and thus can't provide a direct comparison.
