I've discovered and listened to a bunch of music ever since falling into the spiral that is this fandom. Despite so many good songs, the first pony song I random clicked on on Youtube is still my favorite fan created song to this day:

I love all of her music :allears:

This is the most appropriate I can find for this one, so move if necessary... it's a humorous "literal" rewrite of the lyrics:

Although the sound bouncing left and right so much, while giving the song a cool psychedelic feel, is kinda borderline distracting.

I completely missed your comment, belated thank you!

Okay, this is much better than the last installment, overall.
The first track is sort of a generic disco beat, and doesn't really grab my attention. The second track is a bit irritating. The track choices are pretty solid from then on. As for your work, track 7 seems louder than the others, and two Winter Wrap Up tracks back to back is a bit much. Archie is always welcome. A pretty solid mix that starts a bit rough.

Thanks for the feedback, it's great to hear comments when there's no crowd reacting to the music. I felt the last mix wanted to do too much in too little time and it ended up not feeling as solid as I'd like it, so for this I picked a blend of house tracks and went back to basics.

I loved all of it. There wasn't a single song I did not like, Isaak. Another solid mix. :allears:

Edit:
I realized I had more to add. The first song choice was excellent, I felt the funky, upbeat tempo led to an easy transition to the next couple songs and the overall feel of the whole mix. One more thing; I loved the BBBFF remix because I wasn't a massive fan of the version in the show. It was more upbeat, perhaps I like faster songs? :pinkieshrug:

Anyways, this was a great addition to the rest of your mixes in my music collection. :gotcha:

So during Jim Miller's Q&A panel at Everfree they played Parov Stelar's Catgroove. I spontaneously started humming Pinkie's Cupcake song along with it, so now this is happening:

Maybe you should start doing a theme for each remix culture iteration? That song would fit in perfectly with a mix of really heavy, industrial, dark, music all inspired by My Little Pony. :-I

I keep coming back to this song, over and over again. I'm also a bit jealous of this guy, because he can sing, compose, play and draw his art.

The opening riff is really :black101:, but it also could really stand being dialed down in intensity a bit during the vocals.

I usually dig this guy's work and this isn't too bad, but why the ever-flipping fuck does every single electronic thing made by bronies need to have a goddamn wobble bass somewhere? And a dubstep interlude? Neither of these things fit into the composition at all, it's just cargo cult status symbol garbage.

Besides that, he really needs to work on his beats and his mixing. Take this, for a more concrete example:

It's very creative and there's definitely the seeds for something compelling in there, but that beat is the blandest thing ever (due mainly to completely straight, non-shuffled machine timing and really weak samples), and in jazz-hop (as in hip-hop in general), the groove is of the utmost importance. Hell, just looping any classic drum break would've made this infinitely more engaging. The above quoted suite suffers from much the same issue, besides other things.

That said, I do enjoy his jazz playing.

I agree with you about the beat being plain/repetitive and not mixed that well. His output makes it pretty obvious he's coming from a classical/jazz background, so it's not surprising he has much more to learn in those areas. That said, I actually find his mix of instruments pretty unusual/interesting, and the interludes are supposed to reflect back and forth interactions between Octavia and Scratch... I think. The main thing that gets me on board with this music, as you said, is that he can play his instruments with a lot of feeling. As a huge live music fan, I really miss that in most of the pony-related music out there.

Lullaby for a Princess... :starity: oh wow. Chills. I'm not sure if anybody could even make a smart-alecky comment to respond to that.

Let's just say that if the Brony community were to produce a Disneyesque movie, he better be the one writing the music. :applejargh:
