I'll be attending BronyCon with a group of my friends, no real excuse not to considering I live only about a half hour away. I was also at the January one, and though it was a nightmare of organizational breakdown and overcrowded as hell, it was still quite fun, especially the VA panel. This time I'm going to attempt to hit most of the big panels featuring the VAs and writers and such (I wouldn't miss Faust or DeLancie for anything), and spend the rest of the time shopping from the 110 vendors and artists they have, or waiting in line for autographs.

One other thing, just speaking from my experience with the last BronyCon, even though this one seems a lot more organized and prepared for the number of people, I still highly recommend either picking up your badge on Friday or arriving at the con /very/ early. Lines were absolutely insane last time (3 1/2 hours to get through registration, and I got there an hour before the doors opened :v:

) and I still expect registration and autograph lines to be that way this time.

Also a surprising amount of people on this forum (up from 5 last time) are going to this one.

Oh, and I agree about the lines, I showed up about 9:20 and got in near noon. When I finally got into the damn con for like 10 minutes my mind was pretty set on "GODDAMMIT WHY DID I COME TO THIS WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT GODDAMN LINES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

(I calmed down soon afterwards)

edit: also, on the number of people math:
Currently 3134 registered
If we round down, about 8 days left to register
43 registees in the past 24 hours = 344 (3478)
Fair to assume rate will increase notably in last few days
So...selling out is theoretically possible, but they would need a lot of last minuters.
I think they'll wind up around 3550.

From that schedule? Absolutely nothing. I will be going with my usual Con mentality of "never go to the panels". In all seriousness though, there's not much on there that seems THAT interesting. I may hit up the auction for shiggles but I think I'll just be wandering the con looking at people and taking pictures. AND BUYING THINGS! :crack:

Most VAs have a theatre or standup background. It's not just making funny noises in a Microphone.

Holy crap. Almost half the people at the con had registered in the past month. And this after (IIRC) many of the rooms in the hotels had been sold. Are they all locals or planning on sleeping under a bridge or what? What kind of crowd is this? :psygum:

Faust and DeLancie autographs are $30 each and everyone else is $20 each. I'm not sure if I'm willing to pay that yet, but unless you're willing to shell out the cash, you'll have a hard time getting people to get you autographs.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to note that a few folks have forfeited their badges after it sold out. Right now there are three available, so you can still go if you're interested and/or can summon up the courage to visit something so crazy.

Seriously though, a con is a con is a con. Just replace your con of choice with ponies, expect the usual (cosplay, general weirdness, drama, and bad odors) and you'll have a fun time! :awesomedash:

Depends on the cost of the print I want because I'm limited on total cost, but assuming that's all within my limits, I still would need somebody who was willing to wait.

E: Oh never mind. I'll just get a damn print after the con off eBay and get it signed another time.
