Dubs are always hit or miss. What I find funny is that Youtube CC in Spanish is spot on where as Youtube CC in English....not so much.

As expected, some jokes are lost in translations, some are given a totally new meaning.

(Real closed captioning has its own set of standards, as well, so these technically aren't CC, at least in the American usage of the term.)

Speech recognition isn't nearly that advanced just yet, let alone machine translation. Even if they were, it'd be impossibly unlikely that they'd produce the exact same lines from the original English.

Overall, I like the MLP Spanish dub but there is ONE thing that they really should fix. Get Pinkie a singing voice that matches her speaking, it's so goddamn jarring when her voice just changes to an older one out of nowhere and is probably really confusing to younger children.

And yeah, I've only caught a few episodes, but the ones with the hunting trip made me feel bad for the rest of the day.

The last season of Moral Orel has some really bummer episodes, but it's worth watching the whole series. It's really fantastic, and honestly the last season has just as many heartwarming moments as depressing ones (well maybe not "just as many" more like "some").

Tuesday mornings, allergies, the awful fear-based state of American politics, Kamina's dubbed voice, how there hasn't been any game I can really get into in years, the stupid, gritty remakes of classic stories that make up so much of modern movies(Red Riding Hood? Really?), that guy in class who will scrape random things against each other/make his chair squeak loudly just to bother everyone, people who don't listen, nettles, when someone says "I WAS GOING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING, BUT FORGOT WHAT IT WAS", my own crippling motivation issues, how teachers in elementary school tell everyone that you will need to be able to write in cursive because your papers will apparently only be accepted in high school/college if they're written in it, how people complain about video games being too violent when we have a ratings system and parents buy 18+ games for their children anyways, etc. etc. etc.

I never learned how to read or write cursive =p But those things never made me hate anything, it just made life more interesting. I had the worst flu in my life that lasted a week, waking up in pools of sweat and everything, but I really didn't 'hate' that, it was a new experience and gave me a story to tell.

I try not to hate anything, I just try to look at it from a different angles.

There's a lot of things in that list I agree with you on, but holy shit whoever decided that we needed to learn Cursive Writing can go themselves. They should use that time on grammar.
