The podcast Bronyville has gotten an official sponsorship from Ruckus media. I can't think of other examples of fan projects picking up this kind of support before.

I guess the fact that the first MLP app has been their best seller has focused them strongly on this market.

They do love the allure of dark characters though. Look at how big a hit Nightmare Moon was even after season 2.

On that note, I thought Chrysalis was voiced by Tabitha. That's how similar a job Kathleen Barr did, and the character comes off to me as a darker, eviler Nightmare Moon. Which is by no means a bad thing. :allears:

It's SO MUCH LOVE that the Changeling gets morbidly overweight. It's really quite horrifying.

Just finishing off season 1. One more little thing I'm noticing this show does (maybe more when Thiessen was the main director) is tons of extreme closeups. It really helps pull you in emotionally. Most animated shows show the whole character most of the time, or at least waist-up shots.

I stopped posting "why is pony good" blogs a long time ago, but this is a good effort one.

Celestia refers to real-her by "Mi Amore Cadenza" during the real wedding. It's just Princess Cadence's real name.

I actually saw one of those posters at the bus station on Sunday. It took almost all of my patience/courtesy not to rip it up in front of 50 other people and begin a soapbox-esq rant on why Kony is EVIL.

Apparently ESPN's Pardon the Interruption just referred to "Brony Kornheiser." Seems like the host made a joke about his twin with a name picked at random, and the co-host was familiar with the whole thing and joked about it.

Also, #mylittlepony is #2 in trending on Google Plus at the moment.
