The first time I came across that abbreviation I literally sat there for, like, 20 seconds trying to figure out what Something Awful had to do with anything.

God damn it. :bluh:

I've been using SA because just saying Shining or Armor alone is kinda :bluh:

I still want to know what his parents were thinking, or how they knew he was going to be a knight when they gave him a name so hard to get out from under.

I say Shining Armour, as that makes him sound even more fancy.

In the first two episodes of the third season, the changelings come back while SA and Fark are on their honeymoon and Celestia is wherever. A huge shield running on the power of love worked before, but what now? Answer: the CMC make another love potion and Twilight uses it to make the same shield. It doesn't work and now Twi loves an end table with eyes drawn on top, and no one can rub off the eyes because there's a shield.

Next season, Twilight progressively loses interest in reading and studying.
We find out that Owloysius has been replaced, and the changelings have been feeding off her love of books.

All the duplicate background ponies we thought were copy-pasted were changelings all along. They turned an animation error into cross-season villain continuity in one big animation masterstroke. :golfclop: Well played.

Actually I don't think "Shining Armor" has anything to do with him being a knight per se -- it's referring to the massive iridescent barrier spell that is his unicorn magic specialty.

But I am pretty sure ponies get one free name change when they get their cutie mark.

I'm pretty sure name changing is the most logical solution to why names are always so on the nose but i like to think that all ponies are just slightly psychic for this one thing. Like Pinkie Sense but just for naming ponies.

Maybe unicorns rewrite history with their true names once they get their cutie marks.

I don't know if this has been commented on before/elsewhere but I was watching this gif of Twilight's foalsitting flashback from ACW and it occurred to me that a younger/teenage(?) Alicorn's body looks pretty much identically proportioned to that of a mature adult from one of the "regular" pony races.

Something occurred to me. "A Canterlot Wedding" was originally planned to be a one-shot, slife-of-life episode. In order to make room for it to be two-parter, one episode had to be displaced.

Do you supposed that one episode will air in season 3?

So thats what happened to Scootaloo's episode! No we won't see that in season 3, it's been destroyed and burned to the ground and it's gone forever. :nngh:

Oh, that reminds me of another shareable thought I had: ACW was fun, but I really would've liked to see a non-magical, even non-royal pony wedding comedy, something along the general lines of Father of the Bride. :allears:
