I go by Four String in the pony fandom, if I can help it. Otherwise, I go by surfwaxamerica, because I think Weezer is cool.

I'm from Ohio. I'm a part of the main Ohio Bronies group, who are a cool bunch of people.

In my spare time, I'm a freelance journalist, mainly of the music variety. When I'm not doing that, I'm filling out job applications so that someone can start paying me a salary... either that or I just spend too much time on the Internet in general.

I came upon this forum a little over a month ago when I tracked this post from my WordPress Stats in regards to this interview with Tabitha St. Germain I conducted for my fashion blog.

Yep, I'm that author; Lady Jaye is my pen name for the fan fiction I'm writing very soon, something I haven't done in 12 years. :vogue:

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to you all, and to thank all of you for visiting my blog. If it weren't for you lot, I wouldn't have known whose attention to get next, which in turn would not have led to a new one-day record of visits after EQD learned of my interview with Rarity's VA via email after The Round Stable ran with the story.

Welcome! If you're dropping by in the future, you can even submit any fanfics you write to the approval process and it'll be featured in the fanfics subforum. Improptu linking to outside fanfics is generally discouraged, unless you get mod approval.

I sent her an email about interviewing her in character -- since I'm a fashion blogger and Rarity is a fashion designer after all -- after finding it on her website, thinking I was talking to someone else and not the one and only herself.

My first email had a little French in it, but was written nearly in English. Mlle St. Germain's response was completely in French! I had to use Google Translate.

As for why no Rarity items? I would have to go through Hasbro/the studio for that. That's all I'll say. Beyond that, it was a pleasure interviewing her. :allears:
