It’s a gray, rainy weekend and I watched “Green Room” last night, all of which means I need colorful friendhorses 150% more than usual.
• “Wild Blue Yonder is really good value”
• If it’s so good, how come it’s closing? Answer me that, pony show.
• Dash imitating the slow up-crawl of the coaster. Takes talent to do that!
• And it’s fun to see our grown-up main characters still act like big stupid kids sometimes.
• Dash should take her class on a
“field trip” to the roller coaster. Say it’s a physics lesson. Conflict solved! My high school did that.
• Cranky Flank Creme
• Dash holding the list is a fun use of winghands.
• How has MLP:FIM been running for 27 seasons and they’re just now doing a “Rainbow Dash is forced to take it slow” plot? It seems like the most obvious idea ever, but the execution’s really fun.
• Hard to picture a pony climbing a tree.
• Ha, the floating head of Applejack.
• Tell me the story of the bellhop pony who learned his special destiny was hauling other ponies’ luggage.
• Holy smokes, the grannies pulled a Frodo Baggins!
• Now she must hunt them down one by one. It’s like Blade Runner, but with even shorter lifespans.
• Commercials. What is this? The Littlest Pet Dimension?
• The worst trauma in young Rainbow’s life: someone called her “lady”.
• Dash, maybe you should use your power of “remembering things” to recall where each granny SAID EARLIER they wanted to go.
• Aw, Rainbow Dash, you suck.
•
“appytite”
•
“rolly-coaster”
• Is there only one DJ in all of Equestria?
• Hey, grannies got needs too.
•
“Do I really have to say anything?”
• I don’t get why the magicians were nervous, nobody revealed the trick.
• Ha, they buy smoke bombs at the same store as Trixie.
• As always, the true villain is Applejack.
WELL: this one was really fun and Ashleigh Ball slayed it, and my only red mark was that the ending made no sense, since Dash seemed to think the moral is old folks can be cool, but really it’s “Applejack is wrong about everything”. Eh, that’s OK because this episode wasn’t about the plot, it was a showcase for silly hijinks and it did it pretty well.
