Just finished the game. My highest score is with Fluttershy, around 70k.
Also, is it just me, or does Gilda almost never attack? With Twilight, she attacked now and then, but the rest of the characters... 2 attacks max.

It's only 6 levels with 6 characters, so it is kinda short. It depends on if you want to play for the high score or just for completion.

I'm a bit disappointed that Rarity is basically just a palette swap of Twilight, but that's about my only real gripe. Pretty fun!

I really enjoyed this game. AJ was probably the hardest to get to grips with, then RD. Flutts is just OP.

[MordjaLYRA is the cool pony who likes to hang out. You can find most of the cool ponies with her. LYRA can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the LYRA motto, for example, that's how laid back she is.]

Pssht, call me when this 8 bit fad blows over and we've got ourselves 16 bit sprite art.

Fluttershy is the most OP. Her hits are as powerful as Applejack's and she can fly. Was disappointed that Rarity played exactly the same as Twilight, but otherwise pretty fun little game. My scores suck though (around 10,000 to 14,000 max) because I was just trying to get all the characters unlocked.
Final total score: 68,072

Here's hoping they make a real FiM game at some point, or at least an Xbox Live picture pack so I can annoy my friends some more.

Awesomely simple but cool game. It rocks that they made something like this and it only took them over a year after Adventures in Ponyville.

Party cannon shouldn't be too strong, since it is supposed to shoot party-related stuff like confetti, cakes, party cones etc. Dealing the same damage like Twilight's magic is enough.

By the time you unlock fluts you're basically a god amongst men anyway.

Also the party cannon has an advantage against some bosses since it doesn't give them invincibility frames.

Which browser are you using? Because I've occasionally had that problem on Firefox on Windows for other Flash games, but it doesn't happen in IE. Try opening it in Safari if you're using Firefox.

Not official, but I assume you've seen the Ponies: The Anthology II intro, and the Desktop Ponies project?

Gonna echo what everyone else is saying about Rarity, along with the jumping being a little finicky before you get used to it. Still awesome otherwise, though I don't understand how some people are getting game scores above 100K. (Unless it doesn't reset properly if you get a game over or something. I wouldn't know, I haven't had one. )

My highest score was with Fluttershy and it was like 70k. Fluttershy was definitely the funnest to play with because RD's attack was pretty wonky and not that fun and awkward to control. Jumping on clouds was also kinda annoying sometimes.

Overall a really fun thing though. Kudos to the Hub. I hope somebody somehow (my knowledge of how video games are created is very limited) adds on to this with new levels or takes the design and makes a similar game with more meat on its bones.

I didn't see this thread but I saw Barton's article on The Round Stable ("there's a forum?" ). It's pretty darn cool, although I wish they tracked per-level scores on a per-pony basis.

Edit: Also, when I first played through with Rainbow Dash, I killed Discord and lost my last life at the same time, so the voice said "Rainbow Dash wins!" followed by "Game Over", and then the screen changed to "Sorry... You didn't beat level 6". I didn't catch a screencap of RD and Discord's corpses on screen at the same time, though.

Ha! I did the same thing with Rarity, except it counted mine as a win. It shouted "Rarity wins!" as both she and Discord flopped over. Made me sad. She sacrificed herself for the good of Ponyville. Generosity, folks.

Don't forget that she attacks forward, too. Feels like Twilight's a bit gimped, as if she's the only projectile pony who has to work with boss invincibility frames.

Discord's irritating, but for Gilda with the unicorns you can shoot her when she comes down, then just shoot her repeatedly each time she lifts off by jumping at each of her second jumps and she'll get stuck and die before she can get anywhere near you.
Pretty sure Fluttershy would be best for no damage, though, because you could just fly above Discord and Gilda is only slightly harder.

Discord's pretty easy with Fluttershy, but I don't know how to beat the Hydra without her getting hit.

The Hydra only attacks in front if itself and keeps moving forward while attacking.
So to avoid it, you have to run/dash past it.

The heads are the only part of it that have a hurtbox, so you can just run straight past it when jump and hit it in the belly. Seems like most enemies don't unless they're doing an attack.

Fluttershy was best pony there. It helped I knew how to fly properly by then but the Stare was way better than Dashing for bosses.
