It is never stated in the show, and the "library" we see there may very well be Twilight's personal quarters. That's the most common interpretation in the fandom, I might add. This would then, of course, render all further references to any kind of "library school" moot, as she did not attend anything like that. She attended a school for magic, books are just her hobby.

Let's quiet down please. We have a very important lesson to get to.
You know, that story seems like an awful stretch. Blooming students? It sounds like you're covering for something.
Yeah! Applejack always says "The Most Obvious and Easiest Answer is usually the Right One"
....alright... If my cutie mark wasn't because I wanted to see my students bloom with knowledge, then what was it?
Well you could have been a gardener, or a flower arranger or something. Except... except...
It didn't work out! You were an absolutely terrible at flower gardening and you turned to teaching as a plan B!
...
... ahem
Say, kids, have you ever seen an adult call attention to their or anyone else's cutie mark? Very rarely, correct? Hardly worth noticing!
But...
Okiedokie! class dismissed! As for you three, I'd like a three thousand word essay on why you shouldn't interrupt your teacher during class on my desk by next morning! Ta!

I fail to grasp the the rationale behind a lightning rod needing to be magical.

Hey Twilight, lets go hang out with Moondancer!
No way, you are such a dork around her.
Do you think that Upper Crust meant it when she said I was cute?
No, she just wanted you to get her in to the castle. You know she's married, right?
