Let's see what humans value more... [the sane thread?]

LYAT is the cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. In LYAT you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the LYAT motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.

Let's see what humans value more... [the sane thread?]

Post by Timber72 » Mon Apr 01, 2013 12:27 am

This thread has two possible purposes, and is a test:

1. Talk normally, have normal daily discussion. A temporary replacement for any [general discussion] thread of your choosing that existed before. Sane discussion only.

2. Crap post like every other thread for today and ignore my first point. By picking this option, you prove that I am right, and you that you are wrong. A telling tale of how predictable human nature really is.

What will you choose? Prove me right.

Well really this is all just socialization. Are minds are being thrust into this environment of shitposting, and is signifying to us to start shitposting, even if we don't normally do so. We see it as the norm and we want to fit in so we do it.

So it shouldn't be a big suprise that this happens.

But we should probably just enjoy the ride. Look, Skeletor! :skeletor:

It's human nature. People see a release valve, and they just have to... er... twist it. Everyone will go crazy and then tomorrow everyone will be back to normal. So it goes. It's why traditional citywide parties like Mardi Gras remain popular. Just go with it if you can, or keep your head down and play a game, read a book, watch some pony reruns, or whatever until it all blows over.

Er, I mean, lol buttes

Oh Teacher, PICK ME! :twistsay:

I believe that human beings by nature are juvenile creatures. We create a false sense of maturity, coolness & adulthood to hide behind to make us feel better about ourselves, but at the end of the day, we are rather silly creatures.

While I think you have a good point, it shouldn't be said that just because Mardi Gras is happening doesn't mean you have to participate even if you're wandering around the city.

I do agree. I am going to have to say this is literally the worst idea ever. What the daft were you thinking, administrators and moderators? I am fiercely disappointed that our extravagant forums had to deteriorate this way into childish debauchery. Our members were always serious and full of fine quality without any poor humor. But now it is all ruined. Due to these circumstances, I must sadly announcement my leave from this once great website for good. I cannot believe we have fallen this way.

Sincerely and farewell,

Dr. FartButts, Ph.D., M.D.
