This is the worst April Fool's Day joke ever
I feel that the notion of April Fool's day is pretty much beating a dead horse, pardon the pun. It's a time when people come out of the woodworks with insipid, tired jokes and pretend that they have some modicum of humor as they continue their dreary lives toiling for the uncaring system that runs society. Do these people truly believe that they are original, that they have something to offer the true intellectuals among us?
This "joke" that The Round Stable administration has thrust upon its userbase is an example of the repetitive, cliche imitations of comedy that people use to feel good about themselves. Even now, some among the userbase are wallowing in their own filth like a pig in so much mud, disguising their lack of anything approaching intelligence with buzzwords like "shitposts" and "irony" (those claiming the latter usually have a tenuous at best grasp of the true definition of what irony entails). Anyone who dares criticize these neanderthals is decried as not being able to get these "jokes" that are anything but, and they envelop themselves in a comforting circlejerk that they are funny, that they have some relevance in the world and aren't just pointless gears in the harsh machines run by those truly in power. But you are nothing but tools for the corporate system, fooling yourself with cheap celebrations such as this to go from day to day as you cowards run from the notion that you are worthless in the big picture of those who matter.
Enjoy your shitty little day with your shitty little jokes. Laugh at me, say I "don't get it," but this won't change the truth that you really are nothing but troglodytes, hammering away on keyboards as the purest forms of idiocy pour from your fingers. Have fun with it.

What is there to get? Yeah, a bunch of morons like this. Meanwhile there are some of us who loathe April 1st because of crap like this and would like to, I dunno, actually use the forums like any normal day?

I also really don't get how this is a "joke" in any way shape or form, really. It doesn't help that nobody is willing to explain it, just spouting more random crap. Bleh.
What I am finding humorous though are a few specific posts from a few specific posters, concerning myself...heh.

I mean, if someone were to explain this random jumble of insanity, then I might be able to participate, but here I'm just left scratching my head, wondering what the hell is going on, or how any of this is considered a joke in any way shape or form.

Re: This is the worst April Fool's Day joke ever
Irony (from the Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία eirōneía, meaning dissimulation or feigned ignorance)[1] is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or situation in which there is an incongruity between the literal and the implied meaning. No written method for indicating irony exists, though an irony punctuation mark has been proposed. In the 1580s, Henry Denham introduced a rhetorical question mark or percontation point which looks like a reversed question mark. This mark was also proposed by the French poet Marcel Bernhardt at the end of the 19th century to indicate irony or sarcasm.
Ironic statements (verbal irony)[2] are statements that imply a meaning in opposition to their literal meaning. A situation is often considered to be ironic (situational irony) if there is an "incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result."[3] The discordance of verbal irony may be deliberately created as a means of communication (as in art or rhetoric). Descriptions or depictions of situational irony, whether in fiction or in non-fiction, serve the communicative function of sharpening or highlighting certain discordant features of reality. Verbal and situational irony are often used for emphasis in the assertion of a truth. The ironic form of simile, used in sarcasm, and some forms of litotes emphasize one's meaning by the deliberate use of language which states the opposite of the truth — or drastically and obviously understates a factual connection.
In dramatic irony, the author causes a character to speak or act erroneously, out of ignorance of some portion of the truth of which the audience is aware. In other words, the audience knows the character is making a mistake, even as the character is making it. This technique highlights the importance of a particular truth by portraying a person who is strikingly unaware of it.
