The first one is a heck of a drawback. She basically becomes Cally with an improved static, weaker OPG, and more severe drawback. Could work.

That second one is pretty much a game changer. Ponies would be making checks reckless left and right in the early game, but late game with 2 revealed cylons it could get painful (though it's worth noting they wont always both have RSC cards). It's not necessarily unbalanced, but it's volatile. Something we might want to test extensively first.

I was thinking just "You may remove a card from skill checks on your turn / all skill checks on your turn are reckless even if no reckless card is played on them," but B COULD work -- it depends on how often those Reckless abilities are coming up. Like Bremen said, it is worth testing.

I also think if Trixie's going to be about Reckless checks, she should get Gaeta's skill draw (2 TAC, 1 ENG, 2 LEA/POL) -- it's a good skillset to have, for one, which is good if it's too risky to make a bunch of checks Reckless, and gives her access to all four of the Reckless cards since there isn't one for PIL.

Apropos of nothing, I also think Rainbow Dash's OPG should go back to being Kat's "fly to a space area and destroy 5 Raiders, or 2 Heavies, or 1 Basestar, or one civilian, then sickbay yourself" -- making an attack on every Cylon in the area is better for a big mass of raiders, but is way worse for Heavies and Basestars, which are the ships you really want to save your OPG for.

At least she's seen playtime. Poor Twilight's never even been chosen.

That's why she's going to be my number one choice for the next game I'm in. I can't wait to help save all of Ponykind from extinction with the magic of friendship activate the Research Lab on my first turn and immediately be accused of being a toaster. :v:

The G&P Trixie (2 TAC, 1 ENG, 2 LEA/POL) - Setup: Command
Setting the stage: After the cards of a skill check are revealed on your turn, you may remove any one card from the check. Discard that card and resolve the check without it.
Anything you can do I can do better: Once per game at the start of a turn take all title cards from their current holders. Return them to their original holders, if possible, at the end of the turn.
Tempting Fate: All skill checks during your turn becomes reckless, whether or not a reckless card is played.

Cheerilee (LEA 2, POL 2, ENG/TAC 1) - Setup: Press Room
Nurture With Knowledge -- If another player is forced to discard skill cards during your turn, you may let them draw a number of cards equal to their discard.
Moral Guidance -- Once per game, after a player makes a choice on a Crisis Card, you may change that choice.
Indomitable Cheer -- You may not activate the Admiral's Quarters or the Airlock.

Spitfire - (LEA 2 - PIL 2 - TAC 1) - Setup: Piloting Viper in ECHO
Aerial Ace -- When you begin your turn piloting a Viper, you get an extra action this turn.
Formation Flyer -- Action: Once per game, activate six unmanned Vipers.
Team Leader -- When raiders fire at Vipers in your space area, you are targeted first.

Big Macintosh - (LEA 1 - TAC 2 - ENG 2) - Setup: Hanger
Eeeyup. -- Draw a card each time a skill check is passed.
Nope. -- Once per game, after a Crisis Card is revealed, immediately discard it without effect and draw a new one.
Doesn't Add Up -- You may not activate FTL control or the Engine Room.

For final review & approval.

Question about Spitfire's Formation Flier OPG: do I have to activate six individual Vipers, or can I choose to activate one Viper six times, similar to how Command can let you activate an unmanned Viper twice?

Glaed: Big Mac was gonna be number 3 on my list of character choices for the next game. Specifically, it was going to be:
  1. Twilight Sparkle
  2. Spitfire
  3. Big MacIntosh
  4. Cheerilee
  5. The Great and Powerful Trixie
That way, if I don't get Twilight, I can still at least playtest one of the new characters. :pinkieshrug:

It's 6 activations of unmanned vipers. You can roll 1 viper all the way around Equestria if you really want to.

Edit: Come to think of it, that would be a hilarious soft reveal... if not terribly useful.

I still lean on the side that Bic Macintosh's drawback should also specify that those locations can't be activated on your turn; Helena Cain's drawback is already considered a non-issue and she doesn't have a static that lets her draw more LEA. My only other objection is that The Great And Powerful Trixie should TOTALLY start in the Press Room because she regularly issues press releases about how awesome she is :v: .

The only other changes I was thinking of: Applejack, being a Support character, may have to move around a lot and not get use of her Movement: ability, so it should be a bit more appealing. I don't think it'd be too bad if Honest Work was an "and" instead of an "or", giving yourself the card and someone you're with. And Twilight's drawback is too complicated in wording; considering any player would just play the card they wanted least into the check instead of playing 0 and discarding one at random, it wouldn't be a functional change to make it "You must play at least 1 Skill Card into any Skill Check on your turn." Maybe rename it something like "Compulsive Reporting" or "Never Tardy" or "Clock Is Ticking". And Tirek's drawback should except the "Infiltrate Galactica" function of Human Fleet, in addition to the Brig.

Do you mind if I'm the one to type up the master list again, just to keep formatting and templating consistent?

Here's a thought:

Big Mac -
Eeeyup. -- Draw a TAC or ENG card each time a skill check is passed.

As for Twilight - you either play something (your lowest / worthless card) or you risk tossing a good card away to keep from dumping a negative on the check. I think it's fine as it is.

Applejack - Yeah, a buff of two cards (assuming someone else is there) for your movement sounds like a good change.

Tirek - :pinkieshrug:

If no one else has any complaints, I'll add them to the OP sometime tomorrow. Don't worry, Huitzil, I can add the right syntax.

I was just about to make a post with Agendas! I got some ideas from the changes they made in the SA games, and think it might be better to go back down to 6 since A: now that there's a cost for guessing Discord's agenda and you can't do it at game's end, he doesn't need 9 to camouflage his actions, and B: it lets us cut agendas that didn't work since they took too much time. We still have to keep the ratio of "ponies win" to "pony-lons win" agendas equal, though, so we have to cut 3 from each deck if we cut any.

Sympathetic Agenda Deck
You win the game if...

Guide Them to Destiny: The ponies have won and Population and Morale are within 2 of each other.
Live On In Infamy: The ponies have won and all resources are at 4 or lower.
Atone For Your Sins: The ponies have won, 3 or more civilian ships have been destroyed, and either you are in the Brig or you have been executed at least once.
Prove Their Worth: The ponies have won and at least 5 raptors/vipers are destroyed or damaged.
Surgical Strike: The Pony-lons have won and 2 or more resources are at half or more of their starting value ("in the green").
The Illusion of Hope: The Pony-lons have won and the fleet was one jump from victory.

Hostile Agenda Deck
You win the game if...

Genocide: The Pony-lons have won and Population and Morale are 2 or less.
Reduce Them To Ruins: The Pony-lons have won, Morale is 3 or less, and 4 or more locations are damaged.
Siege Warfare: The Pony-lons have won and all resources are at half or less of their starting value ("in the red").
Survival Of The Fittest: The Pony-lons have won and either two or more pony characters have been executed, or one pony character has been executed and Cloudsdale or Canterlot One was destroyed.
Mutual Annihilation: The ponies have won and the sum of Super Crisis Cards played (by any player) and damaged locations is greater than or equal to populaton.
Power Vacuum: The ponies have won, you are Infiltrating, and no more than one other human player is not in the Brig or Detention.
