PHOTOSHOP FUN: Horsie Lecture
Since people wanted to do these things more often and I just took this screenshot, I might as well.
I doubt it will match the glory of Twilight's Bad Day but we can give it a shot anyhow, can we not?
Engage!

I'm trying to think of a good idea with this theme. I'll probably have it on by next morning!

Instantly thought of this gif when I saw the prompt image so I ran with it. I think DeLancOC's smug face just sort of perfects the image. (yes that is a banana on the cutie mark, get your mind out of the gutter)

Re: PHOTOSHOP FUN: Horsie Lecture
In Gimp: I took a vector of Twilight, magic wanded to cut out all the fill so only certain outlines remained, then made all the lines pure white. Next I took the eraser tool, chose brush types that looked like dotted lines or smudges, used varying opacity settings for the eraser and gave Twilight some texture with it to make it look like chalk by lightly erasing areas of her outline. Not sure how Brick made his.PictishBeast wrote: How are you guys making the chalk lines?

...Photoshop has a really extensive bunch of brush presets, and one of them was named chalk, and by playing around with opacity/flow and how I applied it I got roughly the result I wanted.Twilight wrote:

The erased chalk texture in the background was just me futzing around with a larger chalk brush then applying Gaussian blur, with a teensy bit of smudging here and there to get what I wanted.
I just traced in Hornbutt, it's a lot easier to do that than clean up something else (to me, anyway).

I'm curious then, do you have a tablet? You're lines are really neat.Another Brick in the Stall wrote:

I do but I very rarely use it (as in I haven't used it for anything on this site), I just have a lot of practice using the mouse. Thanks for the compliment though.Twilight wrote:

I don't think anyone under 30 will get that one. Besides those of us who have been bored and watched the Game Show Network in the middle of the day before, at least.ob2kenobi wrote:

Heh. Thanks. I guess I should have picked a more modern game show. Jeopardy maybe. But I love the Whammies.

I apologize for taking the low hanging, poorly drawn fruit.
Sorry Perry. (As much for copying from your art and badly rescaling it as I am for the content)

Press Your Luck. Here's the story of the guy who figured out how to beat the game, like The Doctor mentioned above.ROBOT B9 wrote:Hah, Derpy only has 10 dollars.

EDIT: After reading that story again, holy shit does that sound like something Twilight would do. "After an additional six weeks of study" is where I lost it.

It's kind of tragic because someone stole a lot of his money, his wife left him, and his life was generally in shambles. I wouldn't want that fate to befall our beloved T-Sparx.

With only 4 easy payments of $100, how can I afford not to buy a Tiny Unicorn TM?
This one turned out more disturbing than when I was only imagining it:

I want to see a cycle added where Rainbow Dash was wrong and it was actually the "Yonderbolts"
(But seriously that's awesome and nice effort).
