He seems really angry about the whole thing. He just recently sent another pretty angry message mentioning that an animator in the Philippines probably leaked it, but he seems to have deleted that one pretty quickly. Whatever actually happened, it probably wasn't his fault, and he's certainly not happy about it.

EDIT: And yes, @dannyimusic is Daniel Ingram's Twitter account. V V V

I'm not good at Twitter syntax, but I'm pretty sure that dannyimusic is Ingram's account and the @ means it's a post from him.

Yeah, it's just a general comment directed at whoever leaked it rather than an actual reply to someone.

It'd really suck if Top Draw manages to alienate themselves from Studio B by doing shit like this, after all the work they've done to get so good at ponies.

Wait till it turns out this song isn't from an episode but for the secret pony cd they are coming out with. Two discs full of songs and bg music from the show and original content all yours for three easy payments of 9.99

I'll take seven! :yay:

It's weird that I'm saying this about a cartoon for 5-year-old girls, but I really would love a CD full of original songs. As much as I hate that it keeps getting leaked, I certainly understand why people are anxious to show this music off. This is the one show I want full of musical numbers, but they're unfortunately few and far between it seems. Meanwhile, some other shows have at least one or two original songs per episode, and they're not nearly as good, and are often downright lazy and awful. I often get the feeling that Daniel has more ideas for musical numbers than he actually gets the chance to write songs for.

So go on, Hasbro. Fill a CD with that shit.

Still think the song sounds like something to be used in an upcoming stage show...

Hope they were able to fix poor Twilight's leg.... :fluttersmith:

You know, I was leaning more towards Secret Christmas Special considering the last minute of the song, but this makes a TON more sense.

Here's something I always wondered, when Twilight first comes to Ponyville, while accommodations were obviously made for her to stay in Ponyville, she seems to have just been given the town library to stay in but the Library from the looks of it, there already was a bed, and living quarters, and it was of course, a functioning library before then. So... who was Ponyville's librarian before Twilight Sparkle? Where did they go? And IS Twilight the town librarian? If somebody wanted to take out a book is it Twilight's responsibility to check the books out and make sure they get returned on time?

I figure that the town didn't have the budget to hire another full-time librarian after the last one retired/died/moved away. Now there's no one who knows how to maintain or update the collection - at least, not the way sweet old Book Worm could. Happens all the time in our world! :fluttersmith:

So please support your local library. They have DVDs and Internet and audio books and ebooks and community events and they'll answer most of the questions that Google can't and OH SWEET MERCIFUL CELESTIA WE'RE ALL SO LONELY! PLEASE LET US HELP YOUUUUUUUUUU :gonkity:

So far the leaks have all been photographs of monitors/storyboards and what sounds like a cruddy phone recording.
I bet there's something in place to prevent direct file (or episode) leaking, like no internet on their workstations.

I could see her doing that. She probably applied for the position thinking it involved actually putting the stripes on the candies they hand out to kids when they leave.

EDIT: The more I think about it, if the song was posted from the animation studio and they didn't even have any animation to go with it, they probably just started animating that episode, which means it's probably from all the way at the other end of the season. Didn't they finish animation in December last year?

God, this is gonna be a long wait. And asshats are going to be reposting the song and trying to Pinkieroll us with it until the episode airs. I know because it's already started happening.

I have this mental image of Twilight being shocked that the library uses such a backward method of organizing their books ("Everything's in alphabetical order by title? What kind of system is that?!") and setting aside a few days to re-file everything properly according to the Dewdrop Decimal System.

Not sure if this counts as a spoiler, so I'm posting it here just in case. Tara Strong has apparently re-confirmed a third season, and along with the news the following details have been provided:
  • Writing started a month ago.
  • The current writing staff appears to be Meghan McCarthy, Cindy Morrow, M.A. Larson and Dave Polsky. Nobody else is confirmed as of yet.
  • Rob Renzetti apparently left the show soon after Lauren Faust.
  • Only thirteen episodes for season three are supposedly confirmed.[/list:u]

Sources are Derpy Hooves Central and Reddit. Not terribly conclusive, I know, but worth noting I suppose.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that's cool to post in the news thread.

13 episodes is a bit disappointing, though it's not like an official announcement or anything (and really I guess 26 episodes was us being spoiled in the first place).

Episode orders usually come in packs of 13. As long as S2 goes as expected, S3 should be a full 26.

It is pretty standard for a lot of shows, but it's true that tons of others get only ~13 per season, especially for children's shows. I'm okay with whatever keeps ponies going as long as possible until it loses its steam (which is hopefully a long way away).
Wayoshi wrote:Episode orders usually come in packs of 13. As long as S2 goes as expected, S3 should be a full 26.
That's certainly true, and could also explain why not all of the writers have been confirmed so far.

Honestly though, I'm more concerned about Rob Renzetti's supposed departure. I know this is all technically speculation so far, but if this turns out to be true, I admit I'll be somewhat apprehensive; more so than with Lauren's departure anyway. At least when Lauren left, I could say to myself, "well, she's leaving the show in good hands. She did hand-pick Rob Renzetti for a reason, after all." But that news, combined with a reduced writing staff, leave me a bit hesitant. I'm paranoid like that.

EDIT: Okay, it's in the Hoofington Post now. It probably is more appropriate there, anyway.
