mariners finished with 89 wins which would have been enough to make the playoffs any of the past 4 seasons. instead, this year they end up 6 games out of a playoff spot :smith:

truly we are now the most cursed team in baseball

die oakland, die houston, who cares about anyone else
The Rays got 90 wins and didn't make the playoffs, which they also did in 2012. The AL was so lopsided this year. It had 3 100-win teams and 3 100-loss teams. :psygum:

The Brewers will apparently never lose a game again.

I'm going to the Wild Card game tomorrow. This is a perfect setup for Even-Year Bullshit, which the Cubs inherited from the Giants when they beat them in the NLDS in 2016.

I don't care who wins Dodgers/Rockies. I just want the game to be more than 20 innings long.

Got here early enough to watch some BP. Go Cubs! :yay:

If they don't win, I'm all aboard the Rocktober train to win the NL.

Oh well. That was still one hell of a game and I'm so glad I got to see it from the stands. Congrats, Rockies! I'm officially on the Rocktober bandwagon now. :yay:

Red Sox knew. Then Joe Maddon saw what he did with them and was like I WANT SOME OF THAT for some reason. :thunk:

Dodgers seem like the only hope to beat the Brewers. Kershaw is currently at 60 pitches through 6 innings. :starity:

Welp Rocktober sure ended in a hurry. :flipout:

I refuse to believe the Brewers' starters are actually this good. Hopefully the Dodgers' offense will give them trouble.

And I really hope it's the Dodgers instead of the Braves. :bluh:

There's a sad irony to the Indians being eliminated on Columbus Day.

Good job, Dodgers. :yay:

Mostly I'm just glad that Counsell's stupid Bellichick move of swapping his starter out early didn't work.

won 4 in a row against the defending champs, and arguably 2nd-best team in MLB, to rip their hearts out.

they'll be back next year, but we have a special team this year.

  • 9. Yankees
  • 10. Brewers

Ended up being the two teams I'm the most indifferent about. Also from two cities I've lived in.

I KNEW it would end in the 18th because the top of the 18th was when I finally gave up and went to bed. :facehoof:

I'm glad it was Muncy, though. He missed a dinger to end it by like a foot earlier.
