I thought so too, but Marge is short for Marjorie in this case. (Although even this is inconsistent; there's one episode where Homer remarks that "Margarita" is "Spanish for Marge.")
She is named after Margaret Groening, though.

Maggie's name is actually Margaret, Maggie is just a nickname
funny note: I remembered this little detail by total random but still wanted to check it on Wikipedia and while I was at it, check the other names too just for fun. it's been so long Marge and Maggie have both gained second names in the time period between now and the last time I've read about it

What computer would one recommend for video editing? For either laptop or desktop.

The industry standard for video editing is Final Cut Pro, which runs on iOS. Apple computers, however, cost about 4 times as much as PCs.

Yeah, I'd rather get Windows. Basically, whatever Windows computer that's strong enough to handle editing and animation work. Within $1,000 or less if possible.
I'm leaning towards laptop, although I'm aware desktops tend to be cheaper.

Aw man, that's a shame. More people getting into convention organizing, especially for the purpose of making a convention that's not geared towards the lowest common denominator nerd, would be great - But obviously not if it ends up being badly done and sketchy

Chromebooks have slowly been invading my school. There are several class sets as is, and more are supposed to be coming next year.
I don't mind it at school (mainly because the log-in takes 20 seconds as opposed to the 4-5 minutes the laptops take to log in and load).

I wonder why we're seeing a lot of event planning trainwrecks of late? To their credit, this crashed and burned before anyone had set foot in a venue, so at least we're not looking at Unicon bits, a deflated ball pit or people trying to get a flight home before they starve.

To be fair, Chromebooks really are likely more useful to most normal people than an actual computer would be. You can get quite a bit done in a web browser these days. I wouldn't spend money on one, but it'd be an interesting curiosity of a device to have, at least.

I shared this cartoon on tumblr and it somehow got over 800 likes and reblogs. I'm guessing the subject matter (it's about humor in violence and how some people don't like it), plus the improvised "Home Movies"-ish dialogue, resonates with a lot of people on the site.

I have been happy with my chromebook, but a huge part of it is that I use Chrome Remote Desktop to access the power of my desktop from wherever.

Chromebooks are cheap and get the job done, just don't expect to be able to do anything graphically intense on them.

I just remember Twin Peaks season 3 was a thing
