ok it seems fine now glad it was just an issue with the plastic part and not a deeper mechanical issue

yep still going wow I can't believe it was just that a piece got bent wrong

I had this exact same thing happen to me just a few weeks ago. The buttons and top shell are all one piece of very thin plastic, and one of the buttons somehow got bent slightly inward so it was overlapping something it's supposed to slide past. So for a couple minutes I was like, what the hell broke that it won't click in anymore?
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking isn't thinking of...
