I think in Russian it's basically "tomcat".Perrydotto wrote: βWed Nov 15, 2017 9:47 pmI dunno how it is in other languages but in German "Kot" means something like "animal feces"

This is an official poster advertising a Disney cartoon. It was clearly drawn by somebody not working at the studio

Actually, the posters for MGM cartoons are just as hideous. Makes me wonder if the marketing department gave a shit at all.

I'm genuinely impressed. For such a weak PC to get out these smooth transformations of the racing track is huge.@Zebra_ebooks wrote: βSun Dec 03, 2017 1:25 pm

Apart from the graphical downgrade I think it's a very faithful adaptation of the SNES F-Zero.

I wonder if it's possible to make a modern gaming computer but fit it in one of those ancient 90s beige computer towers.

Depends on which side of the AT/ATX split it's on. Easiest way to tell is to see how the power button's hooked up. AT power switches were wired straight to the power supply and had the whole 120 volts ac running through them. ATX power buttons have weenie little wires and hook to the motherboard.
If the case is ATX, then damn near any modern hardware setup will fit in it.

Total conversions of old PCs to high-end gaming systems or workstations are called "sleeper PCs". Earlier than 2000s, you need to do some serious modding and fabrication, but it's a really fun little sub-genre of PC building.
In between are replicas that are also designed to hold modern sleeper parts.

They probably failed because they were called "Hydrox." Sounds more like a brand of laundry soap. Sadly, that was long before eating laundry soap was the new hip thing all the kids are into.

From what I can gather, "Hydrox" is derived from "hydrogen" and "oxygen", aka water. It was supposed to invoke a clean feeling.
Maybe too clean, to go with your laundry soap comment

I did too, because they also came in vanilla and I liked those better. But I think the vanilla ones I had were mostly store brand, since none of us could really tell a difference.

I'd like to know more about Star Knight's bump-n-go action, too bad it's a mystery.
