There are several other polearms it almost looks like, but the big problem is that nearly all polearms with pokey bits off to the side have those bits curving towards the spear point, since they are intended to aid in parrying other weapons. And you kinda want to STOP the blade instead of allowing it to easily slide down a smooth arc past your block.
