Yeah, I get the impression RD's role as "Ponyville's hero" exists solely in the mind of Rainbow Dash. (And Scoots.). Everyone else in town is like, "Who? Oh, that pegasus who moves clouds and naps a lot. Also she traumatized my niece and her friends last Nightmare Night."

Fortunately, the plot doesn't require RD to actually *be* the town hero. It just requires her to think that.

Voted for Spitfire. If it's a returning character, it pretty much has to be her. There's a potential for some sort of friendship lesson in there too, after RD spends the whole episode setting up Spitfire to fail, and then realizes what she did to her idol.

I have said time and time again multiple times on this forum that it's going to be Trixie.

I'm totally ready for the show to prove me wrong and it be a brand-new one-shot, but everything is lined up juuuust right for it to be Trixie. And it'll be -glorious- if it turns out to be so.

The whole Trixie issue just confuses me. I was under the impression that it had been just about confirmed that she wasn't going to be in Season 2 at all, but now it seems like just as many people are saying she has a shot at the screen.

The same thing could be done with Fluttershy, they've been shown to be fairly close... :yay:
