Well that certainly was a thing :gonkity:

The FiW guys were genuinely entertaining, and there were some fun sections where they didn't let the interviewer talk at all and ignored the mostly terrible questions to talk about twilight being a terrible, oblivious burden to celestia. But goddamn the interviewer was just horrible - if you're going to try and interview people, have questions ready and don't .......leave............ummm ....errr.....dum dum derrr..... wait a minute, errrrrrr............ lots of awkward silences. :ohrarity:

We got 2 or 3 Ponygoons shoutouts though so it was cool I guess.

But man, that was a poor experience overall. Props to the FiW crew for putting up with it for ~2 hours.

SherclopPones did a great job rolling with those generally terrible punches and dead air (to mix metaphors) by making up funny stuff on the fly, and we learned some stuff too! :iamapony:

They also seem generally on the level wrt flatly shutting down creepy/ridiculous things. (Also the mlponies shoutout was nice of them) :yay:

But seriously, the interviewer was unbelievably incompetent and downright disrespectful at times. "...if you guys need a VA or scriptwriter" :facehoof:

They recognized NLTM (who sent in a question during the interview) from ponygoons and maybe also acknowledged that Grue (who reposts FiW songs) was from here.

A synopsis of the whole interview is hard to give. We learned a handful of things about their future plans (e.g. the next episode is at least partially based on the episode Sisterwhooves Social and they're getting an outside voice actor whose name I've forgotten to play Rarity's dad and for future reference Luna is Molestia and At some point they will talk about who the great war of Equestria was against). They also spent some time making up some hypotheticals on the fly. Also the bulk of the interview was really tough to listen to, through no fault of the SherclopPones pair.

Also they explained that SherclopPones was conceived as an OC that can be called "him" or "her" and they're a (non-pony) horse detective who makes "Friendship is Witchcraft" :pinkieshrug:

One shoutout was because they answered my question and recognized my name from the forum. They also mentioned Grue, for uploading Art of the Matress on YT.

general interview timeline went something like this:

4:00: Begin.

The interview went well, there were a few cool questions being asked. The interviewer was constantly in shambles though, because he had no idea what he was doing and constantly had nothing prepared and can't read aloud worth a damn.

4:40: The Dr. Who question.

Starting the decline, there was one really fucking long and stupid question about a crossover with Dr. Who that read like a really bad fanfic. I still don't know if it was a joke question or not, but I don't think it was. The question itself took a solid minute of reading, and the discussion about it took a good 10 minutes going between "that's stupid" and "no". Not so much the FiW guys' fault at all, but for some reason it started a trend of really stupid questions.

The next hour was basically dedicated to making shit up to inane questions, such as "how weak is Spike's grip", "How do I join the cult of Smooze"(totally called that one btw) and "Ask Jenny to scream I CAME in her best Celestia voice ( :nngh:

)." Each question punctuated with minutes of dead air as the interviewer tried to get his shit together and failing each time.

Around the end was the interviewer complaining he was hungry, and the FiW folks completely ignoring him for about 15 minutes and shooting the shit between themselves. It was the Golden Age.

Then they talked about cheese until the end.

Very little actual FiW information was gleaned upon, but the next episode will be Dec. 30, Luna is Princess Molestia, and Molestopia will be touched upon in the upcoming episode based on Luna Eclipsed.

That's about it.

They seem to be good about staying non-creepy so hopefully it's just a goof on the banner in the first episode and the 'they're Molestia's problem now!' line. I assume it's a joke on how everyone forgot about Luna so they just assume she's Celestia.
