I'd almost think the announcer was Maurice LaMarche, judging by how Toucan Sam-ish he sounded.

Also, judging by the "hypnotized" look in Shining Armor's eyes, my money's on Cadonce being Discord in disguise or something like that. First-time character insert being something other than what she appears at first to be? WELL I NEVER!

Didn't DeLancie say he "just did" a new episode at that Trek con? That usually means he probably recorded it pretty recently. Since we *know* this was recorded months ago, I'm betting Discord might not be involved at all.

The Flim Flam Brothers were technically comic villains. And I sincerely doubt Jayson saying "new villain" meant "Discord returns" considering the finale to that arc was freaking airing that morning.

I think it'll be more likely that, if Discord is involved at all, Shining Armor's either Discord in disguise or Discord is neither of them and just lurking somewhere.

Speculating: S2E25 and S2E26 both being "Part 1" explains how they can have a "two parter" and have it still carry over to episodes 27 and 28 (which are presumably the S3 openers, explaining why DeLancie has "just" recorded something). :smirk:

Damn, I was hoping they wouldn't air them at once. We're going to miss out on all the fun speculation that could've transpired between parts 1 and 2, AND we also have the end of ponies in freaking April!

So, apparently Cadence is evil, or something. Calling it, her wings are fake.

Also we have this "niece" thing again. She cannot be Luna's daughter, right? All these Celestia relatives make no fucking sense.

I think she's actually an illegitimate daughter of Celestia </headcanon>

April 21st is the first saturday after University ends for the summer over here, so this'll be a nice little reward. :yay:

I'll admit I was kinda hoping the season to go into May a bit, but knowing that there will be a season 3 makes that easier to stomach.

I will say I was not expecting evil clones in this story. What will cause a royal wedding to be onslaught by clones of the main 6?

Maybe all these "clones" are actually dupes from the future that Twilight sent back to sort out whatever the Evil Villain Wedding Plans are, so they're not evil, they just have mort information than the present mane six :pinkieshrug:

Personally, I'm quite happy with the former. There's a lot of terrible shit on tumblr that exists because of a one-week gap between these episodes.

Oh man, this episode is gonna be incredible.

We were kinda leery of this episode because it was "forced in" for toys- but nobody expected an epic pony war between evil clones of the mane six and a possessed Shining Armor and a "dark secret" about Cadence. Leave it to DHX to always surprise us when we expect something to be boring. :awesomedash:
