Just to be clear, Seth typo'd and that has since been fixed - 226 is part 2. No shenanigans.

My most likely scenario is that we will first see Cadence's clone, which is bratty, which heightens Twilight's insecurity already. Go through epic evil clone part, expel Discord/whoever green eyed guy is. Meet Cadence for real (locked up somewhere?), ends up she's pretty decent, Twilight learns moral.

I really think the spoiler rules needs to be re-addressed given this. Obviously specifics when a episode is leaked is one thing, but there's really no hiding these short clips now. It's not much different than next episode previews at the end of shows.

There's a difference between avoiding spoilers, and avoiding everything.

He's not actually Celestia's nephew, he's just related to her in some convoluted and vague way. They call him her nephew for simplicity's sake.

...Of course, it's possible Cadence is related in the same way, but we can handwave that by saying the alicorn gene only runs through some parts of the bloodline. To be honest, though, Celestia having a family (other than Luna) in general seems odd to me; maybe she actually has a whole bunch of sisters and we just never hear about them because they're demigods of less-important things that nobody cares about.

The TV Guide synopsis for part 1 mentioned it. Kind of surprised no one commented on it then.

If Cadence wasn't originally intended to be an alicorn, as Lauren said, then she's probably Celestia's niece in the same way that Blueblood is her nephew. They might've changed things when she became an alicorn, though.
