In order to become the gossip columnist for their school paper, the Cutie Mark Crusaders adopt the name ‘Gabby Gums,’ but when they land the job, their happiness is cut short by the pain they cause to other ponies with their hurtful stories.

This is the thread for all of your TV/IV bullshit, so keep it contained here. Remember that spoiler moratorium is in effect until 3 AM Eastern time / 12 AM Pacific time (UTC 08:00 -8) - so post any related fanart, avs, etc in here until moratorium is up. The episode airs at 1:00 PM Eastern / 10:00 AM Pacific time on the Hub on Saturday, March 31.

Unless everything they print is true, and it's hurtful precisely BECAUSE it's true. Which would make the lesson not so much "don't gossip" as "don't blab other people's secrets."

I wasn't really down with the premise when I first heard it, but now after seeing the first preview, it has the potential to be the best CMC episode this season.

Not to spoil any particulars, but from the last few seconds from the long preview and looking at the short preview, that's roughly how it sounds to me, which will differentiate it from Bridle Gossip enough. Even if not, this certainly is not a judging book by its cover / accepting different culture premise.

I think this ends up being a fun romp in an ultimate ensemble episode - the CMC may be the main characters, but it may feel like the least CMC ep yet, potentially. If the Mane 6 fully get involved in ending Gabby Gums, this is a redeeming chance to do that type of resolution right, where MDW stumbled some in that aspect.
