Haven't gotten myself any blind bags yet, but I did by the gift set. The only recolor I want is Lyra, and I'm pretty sure she isn't in the USA yet :fluttersmith:

Is it possible for Fluttershy to hate? I lost her figure and and I don't have a brushie of her becuase their always sold out. Why do you hate me Fluttershy :gonkity:

My friend surprised me by buying that Octavia figurine I've been drooling over. Unfortunately, it arrived with both of her rear legs and her tail snapped off. :gonkity:

So now I'm trying to figure out how to return it for a new one. The only thing in the box is an email address, so I'm gonna send them an email saying what happened.

Anyone got a guide on pony hair stylin? If there are any specific guides for the CMCS/Cheerilee, that would own hard.

I wish I could get more blind bags, but at a whopping 3.49 a pop I cannot get myself to buy more than one. The price here is ridiculous.
Commission me, I'm cheap.

They're $5.73 (unopened) and $4.99 (specific/opened) on amazon. :-/

Though, the 12 pack, which apparently is 12 unique ponies, is $26.99 coming out to ~$2.25 each.

I thought the 12-pack was bad at $24.99. TRU charges $2.99 apiece for blind bags here.

TRU prices are always bad, though. LEGO sets are commonly about $5 to $10 more than anywhere else. I looked at a set they had with Batman and Catwoman on a motorcycle yesterday, and TRU wanted $17.99 for it. It was $11.99 at the Target in the same shopping center. :-/

Toys R Us also had the separate train cars, with Sweetie Belle and Fluttershy. I hadn't seen those anywhere before; the other stores all still have the ponies-on-scooters toys.

Damn, I'm fining them for 1.89 at Wal-mart here in Galveston. I'll likely pick up a handful today and report back. If I get any duplicates, I'll be happy to mail them out to anyone who wants them without spending an absurd amount of money. :pinkieshrug:

I'd hold off on that for a bit if I were you. Some of the MLP Arena members are saying they've found Wave 2 blind bags in the US. Just hear-say right now, but hopefully it ends up being true.

She looks fantastic, the level of detail is quite good.

They're going to ship me a new one, and they didn't require me to send back the old one, since I sent them a picture showing it was broken. I'll probably attempt to glue the broken one back together anyway. I just really hope the second one doesn't arrive broken again. :nngh:

Just be careful what kind of glue you use. Some of stuff 3D printers use reacts badly for some glues, especially super glues etc.

On their site I saw this:

We will finish it with cyanoacrylate (CA)...

Which is basically superglue. Not that you don't have to be careful with the stuff and maybe test it first because it can do weird stuff sometimes, but it does look like they use it in the finishing process. Probably gassed on.

Though it is a stylized horse, of course; perhaps Elmer's is more appropriate anyhow? :v:

I superglued her back together. You can still see the seams from where she broke, but I've got my replacement coming in the mail, which hopefully won't arrive broken again.

Doesn't look too bad. You could probably find a repair kit at an Arts and Crafts store, like Michaels, to get rid of the hairline.

I'm tempted to get one of the Main 6. Mostly Pinkie Pie and Rarity.

Looks good! Plus, her expression pretty much fits illustrates her opinion on having to have her rear legs glued back on. It must be very unclassy to have to go through such a process.

Man, now I want to bug HashBrony to make a Screwball figure or something after seeing that thing. The colors seem a bit washed out, though. Is that just remnants of the unbonded powder that needs to be washed off, or is it actually stuck like that?

That appearance is in line with the other prototype models I've seen. And I can definitely say that they're brittle and Octavias legs and tail are the weakest point. They're for appearance and not for handling.
I love her bow tie though.

The reversed clef is bugging the hell out of me! The powdery look is pretty much a result of the manufacturing process, since it is just bonded powder. Sealants can be applied.

Her cutie mark is facing the correct way on the side I didn't photograph. The way I get over backwards cutie marks in the show (DJ Pon3 :applejargh:) is I just tell myself cutie marks are always symmetrical. That's just how ponies are made!
