Speaking of Looney Tunes, while it would never happen, a Duck Amuck style epsiode would be interesting. Twilight getting more and more frustated with a uncooperative animator would be fun to watch. :gotcha:

At the end the camer zooms out revealing Discord in front of the computer. :smirk:

According to Tara, there's an episode is season 3 that'll make pony fans go "nuts." Like, more crazy nuts than we've ever been before, but she can't give us details.

I wonder if she's thinking of The Last Roundup. How could they possibly make the fandom go nuttier than that? Patrick Stewart and a Harry potter crossover in the same episode? Making every ship canon? Animating Fallout: Equestria?

an entire episode with only one pony in it and no spoken dialogue... and it would still be awesome and well-written; the quality of animation and William Anderson's score could tell the story well enough and kids would learn the lesson that sometimes it's better to be quiet.

Okay.

It's a good promo, I think. Unlike Equestria Girls, this one is clearly not aimed at people who already like the show: it's for people who may have heard of adults liking the show, but cannot understand why.

The clips in that promo are good for showing that there might be more to this show than MY LITTLE PONY, LA LAAA LAAAAA. They're not good for actually showing what the show is like, but, I mean, it's 22 seconds. It should make people curious, and I think that's what it's going for.

The only thing that could make this better is a episode where Joel Hodgson plays a pony-version of his character from MST3K as Twilight's wacky inventor uncle! For added fun, he is captured by pony-Dr. Forrester & pony-Tv's Frank, played by Trace Beaudilu and Frank Coniff who force him to watch cheesy plays. Only the help of his new friends can save him from madness by riffing.

When was this? I never heard about any Harry Potter pony.

Also, I don't want fanservice either. Derpy as a BG character is fine, Vinyl is fine, etc. But we love this show for it's originality, and fanservice just ruins that. I think they know better than to go too overboard though, especially after the Derpy incident.

Slightly unrelated to ponies, but I love the abundance of Pinkie Pie avatars in certain non-pony threads such as Super-Fun Mango Madness and the gaming thread. :iamapony:

The other day, I realized that when I said "I would give Claire Corlett a big bear hug to see if she would squeak if I was close to her" a couple months ago, it was extremely easy to be misconstrued as an "if I was creepy and snuck up behind her" proximity kind of close instead of an "if we were siblings or she was my niece" emotional-bond kind of closeness that I was trying to infer. :v:

Although my point is that if a specific background pony was made to look like Littlepip or anybody else from FO:E, fans would eventually spot them even if they're hidden quite well.

The way they handle fanservice, the Derpy incident aside, seems to work well enough. Simple cameos like how Derpy usually is in the show are all that's needed, although giving them the occasional line to cause fandom heart attacks (I.E. giving Colgate and Lyra voices in ACW pt. 1) isn't too bad, either.
