Weren't those confirmed to be knock-offs? In fact, Knock-offs of a smaller, brushable pegasus body since there's the accessory hole in the bottom of one of FS Derpy's hooves, while true FS ponies don't have that because they don't have accessories like scooters, etc.

FS ponies have an accessory hole in one hoof.

I'm on the side of it being a real prototype (they escape the factory often).

How to those two scale with the normal brushable ponies? I'm going to get the Hasbro release of Vinyl, because I want to support the toyline for more show-based characters (and because it comes with Trixie and NMM), but Octavia is one I might bite for, since I might order her along with some custom Targetmaster accessories.

All I have are the McDonald's toys and those 2 figures. They're about 3.5" tall, which is like 1.5 times the size of the McDonald's ponies.

Okay, a quick measurement of my Brushie Applejack shows she tops off at about 3 inches exactly (a little bit more if you include her ears)

So I guess that means the Shapeways ponies are a good half inch taller than the normal brushies. That's a deal breaker, as I don't want an Octavia towering over the rest of my ponies while not standing on her two hind legs.

Music ponies best ponies. :vogue:

A Lyra would be nice :crack:

There is a Lyra Brushie in the works, hopefully to be released in the Canterlot Wedding promotion part of the toyline.

I love how the satiny finish gives them a much "softer" look than any of the real toys. Ponies with specular highlights just don't look right.

Speaking of cakes, I'm slightly tempted to get the pony cake for my upcoming birthday, just to get the toys. Has anyone got a good look at those figures - are they worth it? If I remember correctly, it was Twilight and Applejack.

I *think* the ponies from the cake set are the same as the ponies from this set, so you could just get the gift set and get a Pinkie, a Celestia, and a Spike to go with Twilight and Applejack.

Of all the pony toys I've seen, these are still my favorite. They just look the most correct. I had the whole set but have given away all but Applejack. Still wish I had the Twilight Sparkle.

And Octavia, I know this is a custom made model but I liked this one a lot.

What pony cake? I am intrigued (and have missed out on pony toy news for a good while now)

I hear that there's a shit-ton of wedding toys coming out. I just really wish Hasbro would sell Shining Armor and Cadence separately..but that's the whole reason they do it this way, so we'll be pressured into buying the whole stupid set. :v: I'm just hoping they make more male ponies. How cool would a brushie version of the blindbag named Twilight Sky be? :awesomedash:

I found it online as a kit: http://compare.ebay.com/like/190670733033?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y
Those do seem to be the same toys.

There are also what look like the blind bag toys with stabby things on the bottom so they stand up on the icing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/My-Little-Pony-Petite-Cake-Topper-Birthday-Party-favors-/380349562736?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D190670733033%26ps%3D54
And these little plastic portrait doodads which are pretty cute. I might get these to put on my backpack: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MY-LITTLE-PONY-CAKE-TOPPER-BIRTHDAY-PARTY-/220734573816?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D190670733033%26ps%3D54#ht_621wt_1110

I don't buy toys because I don't think you can get them around here in stores but I'd love to collect some eventually. Do they have actual FiM-resembling official plushies? If they do, I can see myself buying some of those.

^ There are official plushes of Twilight and, if I am not mistaken, Pinkie as well, but they basically have mohawks.

If you're good at sowing you could replace it with something that's more show accurate, but otherwise you'd be better off commissioning one.

The Twilight one I've seen at Target is absolutely hideous. Pinkie on the other hand, is relatively cute but her hair is like the brushie Shining Armor's--not very puffy.

That link just redirected to eBay's home page for me. But it did inform me of an adorable custom Derpy plush being auctioned off, so I get to log out with some cute fresh in my mind. :allears:

My cousin has the Pinkie Pie, and I can attest that its "hide" is not very soft, either. Like even by non-fuzzy fabric standards. In case that mattered to anyone.
