That's because it humiliates the pony who humiliated her. Trixie likes her revenge the way she likes her cider: ice cold. :smug:

I hope they actually say "Lyra" in the show. Because I need to know if they pronounce it "LEER-uh" or "LIE-rah".
(The former is much better, and it actually sounds like a name. The latter is just dumb, and I will fight all of you who think it is better.) :chillin:

Every time I've heard it spoken, it's been pronounced LIE-rah (like the constellation). That doesn't make it etymologically phonologically correct, though. :rainbert:

With the other molds it seems they have switched it around a bit, from what I remember. For example, there's at least one pegasus with Pinkie eyes, IIRC.

That's because there's only one unicorn head mold, while you can use any of the other heads for a pegasus.

^Oh yeah. The horn.

Derp. :v: But, yeah, it seems they just don't feel like making new unicorn heads.

Edit: I figured it'd be cause of the mold cause they seem to have imprints of sorts hat are designed for certain types of eyes.

I don't really see why using the same mold would affect the eye shape. The heads are all the same shape except for the horn, and the eyes are just printed on. They could print any eyes on there that they wanted. The unicorns eyes already vary slightly - different colors, different lashes (Rarity). Of course, even Rarity is always missing her lower lashes... Oh well.

The new Toys-R-Us blind-bag collection pack looks neat. Too bad it's doesn't include Roseluck. She's one of the ones I wanted.

The eye shape is molded into the head, it's not that obvious unless you wipe the paint off though. There's a Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie head mold, I think RD's head may be a variant of AJ's mold (same shape different paint details) but I'm at work and can't check.

If you wanted to paint a different eye shaped onto a unicorn head mold it'll be really obvious though, like the small brushie Luna from the Royal Sisters set.

Well, I managed to make someone very happy yesterday with a gift of pony.

My niece turns 3 this thursday, so I went over with presents yesterday. Got a book for her with bedtime stories, as well as something else. First thing she wanted to unpack? The book, because she recognized what it was and apparently loves books.

The other present was made even more appropriate that way, since it was Twilight Sparkle's Twinkling Balloon. First thing heard when she unwrapped it and saw the logo? "MY LITTLE PONY!" :ponydrugs:

I helped unbox it, and she spent quite a bit of time playing with it, making it fly around. I have to say, it really is a neat toy: Switch on the back for three different modes("Try me", regular and nightlight), light that changes colors(Red and blue) in time with the very pony music it plays, and the mold quality is pretty damn amazing and detailed.

I kinda had to search for the show-accurate Twilight version though, apparently there's two releases of the toy and the included Twilight has two different possible hairstyles as a result.

Also, she called Spike a pony. :pinkieshrug:

I took pictures, but due to an agreement with my brother I will not post them anywhere on the internet. It was really friggin adorable to see though.

My search for a Trixie, Lyra, and Blossomforth proved fruitless today. All I found were the suitcase versions of the mane six, two Snowcatchers, and a handful of Feathermay (Feathermaies? Feathermai?).

I am well aware that Trixie and Lyra may have been website only for K-Mart, but I was heading there anyways. The lack of Blossomforth annoys me, though, as she was plentiful BEFORE Hurricane Fluttershy, but now... :gonkity:

Huh. You're right. Boy, that's subtle. Makes me wonder why they bother. Sure would be easier to have more variety if the eyes were just prints...

Blossomforth was part of wave 3, we're now on wave 5 (traveling ponies). K-Mart put up listings too early for the Trixie etc figures, supposedly they're actually coming out in August.

I'm surprised we haven't seen a flood of art and comics exploring Trixie's shameful past and her birth name that she's spent her lifetime trying to forget. :gotcha:

I would buy the toy if she had her cape and hat. Or even just the hat. It's weird seeing ponies that use accessories without them. Especially Applejack.

I hope Trixie gets bumped up to secondary character. I want her to show up at least as often as Zecora.

Trixie is best one-off pony.

I'd rather just get more Zecora, personally. We only saw her like, what, 3 times this season? And even last season she basically disappeared after Swarm of the Century, other than the Stare Master shout-out.

I mean I know the rhyming gimmick must be a bit of a pain to deal with but she's too cool to go underused because of a little thing like that.

I was out and about in Topeka today, so I decided to look for some pony stuff. I was hoping to find the cars for the train, but no luck. Supplies at Wal-Mart, Target, and Toys R' Us are dwindling except for blind bags. Between Tr'U and WM I picked up 2 Sugar Grapes, Twilight, Bumblesweet, Minty, and another Fluttershy :yay: . Some will become customs.
IDK if this has happened at other Tr'U's but the prices went up there. $2.99 NOW :starity: WM was still $1.96.

Oh and Saturday I found a nearby Dollar General store that had G4 activity books, so it looks like another chain is picking them up.

Do Target and Walmart REALLY carry blind bags? I'vee been searching stores within a 50-mile radius, and the only place I've seen them is the one Toys-R-Us store, and that's only been an empty display box every time I check. Heck, none of the stores in my area even have MLP sections. What gives?

The Target in Topeka doesn't have them (not sure about other places), and some Wal-Mart stores seem to get less stuff than others. The Emporia (KS) one still doesn't have any, and hardly has any MLP stuff left (the first time I asked they didn't even know about them, and the lady I talked to said they're usually the last to get new stuff in, so it looks like what Wally World stores get in depends on the ammount of customers they get :-/ ). And the 2 places I went to seem to get them in reguarly because I saw doubles of some bags in the boxes (the T r' U had 3 Bumblesweets).

My closest Walmart has them, but Target does not. In fact, the two stores have an almost completely different selection of pony stuff, for some reason.

They sell out at Walmart super fast too. One day the box is full, the next day it's empty. A few days later, it's full again... for a little while. There were some in there the other day, so I bought one. I got Pepperdance.

If they're as popular as they seem, why has Hasbro not released more new blindbag waves in the US?!

I've seen blind bags once at Wal-Mart and once at Target, and that's it. Admittedly I don't go in often, but I always check when I do. I bring a little list of the cheat codes just in case.

So here are blindbags found by a seller on eBay in China who claims they are Hasbro products. It includes Gilda, Granny Smith, a Wonderbolt, Shining Armor, and Princess Candance. Legit? Or Knockoffs? You decide! I'm personally thinking the latter.

The first 2 under Cadence are Waterfire and Kiwi Tart, who were in the G3 line. I have Kiwi, and the blind bag is missing the light yellow and pink streaks in her mane and tail.
Image

The other 2 are probably G3's also.

EDIT: Yep. One is Seascape and the other possibly Dainty Daisy (who's also missing her color streaks):

I wanna say the repaints of the mane six are fake, and the Wonderbolt (something just seems off about that one), but in terms of Granny and Gilda I can't really tell (although I'm notoriously bad at knowing what is a knock off and what isn't unless it's painfully obvious I.E. el cheapo dollar store packaged combiners that are obviously fakes of a real Transformer combiner). I'd be all over a blind bag Gilda either way, since that one through the link looks pretty nice.

Also, we may be getting a Glimmer/Flutter/whatever-the-hell-it-is wing Diamond Rose:
