Welp, definitely gotta score the new non-recolor blind bags. Thanks, Hasbro. :applejargh:

I want Granny Smith because she's one of my favorite supporting characters, and a Gilda that Pinkie and Fluttershy can abuse and then see banished to the moon by Celestia. :gotcha:

I don't know about the Wonderbolts, because so far they've completely failed to save the day or even be useful once. Rainbow Dash always has to save their useless asses :rainbert:

edit2: of course I will probably end up buying the Wonderbolts anyway, but I will have Rainbow Dash glare so hard at them :-/

They can make a Gilda and a Granny Smith for the blind bags, but Fluttershy is still a Rainbow Dash palette swap.

Good catch. I forgot about Dash's fantasy from Ticket Master. It also makes more sense that the toy people would grab a Wonderbolt design from an early episode like that instead of from the season 1 finale or a season 2 episode. Does Spitfire even appear in Ticket Master? That other female Wonderbolt in the pic is just her lookalike (Spitfire has a two-tone mane).

Yes, Gilda owns.

I find it kinda funny that there's a little pony toy with a walker coming out. Granny and Gilda are kinda surprising, since neither one allows for color swaps for multiple characters.

This just makes me think that they will either make a bunch of old ponies, or sneak Granny Smith and Gilda into every playset from now on.

She's more bemused than glaring as if to say - Huh. Well, guess I'm a toy now.

This is out of the blue, still, a unique but minor early S1 character. Somebody internally - a fan of the show - must have pushed for it.

I suppose there's diminishing returns in producing another oddly colored pony like blossomforth.

I wonder if this is the Pony equivalent of "the kinda ugly girl" in school? Like, sure, she's still pretty and fits in, but since her colour palate is just..."off", she'd probably get talked about behind her back.

I should have made that clearer - I think they've made as many combinations of ponies with the molds they have with the colors they have.

and

:twonk: FUCK IT JUST USE THE CLEAR PLASTIC
:v: aaaaaaaa
:twonk: AAAAAAAAA

only goes so far.

So for the people collecting them, anything past the main 6 is optional, right? Bringing in new molds for new characters that aren't templates for other characters (though I guess you can change the Wonderbolt character's hair color) is interesting.
They can only make one kind of Gilda, then.

... honestly weren't there countries the Gilda episode was banned because Dash and Gilda ... raised some eyebrows?

I think I remember hearing about Griffon the Brush-Off not being aired in some countries, but I'm pretty sure that was just because they thought Gilda was too much of a jerk for children's television, not because of any possible subtext.

I never noticed before that the left eyelid overlaps the outline of her head. And I've been on at least one forum where someone had that for an avatar for at least a month.

Anyway, "Griffon the Brush-Off" was aired censored in Canada, where it airs on Treehouse TV, a channel for kids younger than this show is aimed at. No, they didn't censor "lame" (oddly enough); they censored "loser". (Same thing happened with "Party of One.") That's probably what y'all are thinking about.
