From what I read so far I'm picking Lison for scum.

lison wrote:Looking back it seems the commander m also claimed third party. My bad. Still, thats an enemy of the scum they would ordinarily be unable to get rid of dead.
He even explicitly mentions it so its not like he missed that he was condemning commander m to death.

lison wrote:This doesn't even make sense, why would I case a dude i'm not sure is scum? Am I supposed to preface all my cases with "WELL THERE EXISTS A POSSIBILITY THAT I AM WRONG IN THIS GAME BASED ON READS AND OPINIONS, BUT,"?

What.
I said you seem to be pretty sure of me being scum. I don't care what you preface your posts with, it's your tone that matters.
I don't think you are town because townies aren't so sure someone is scum on day 1.

No, that's not my case. Not even close.
It's the tone that he's using. It's not just what he's saying but how he's saying it.
I will repeat it. Town players usually don't sound so sure of themselves day 1. And for one simple reason: town players start the game uninformed.
What sets the scum apart from the town? Scum are the informed minority. That's why the TONE that Lison is using is scummy rather than townie.

The very next post I posted after the post he referencing where I call commander m a bulletproof townie. The first line is "Oh whoops, apparently commander m claimed third party. Well, whatever". Or something like that. And he is ignoring context anyway because scum aren't going to kill commander m if he is scum, and my point was he used his action with full knowledge that he was rendering a potential enemy of the scum defenseless.
Because, you know, hes aloud to assume commander m is scum to justify his action but I'm not aloud to assume commander m is town to case based on it.
fake edit: Bluh, I was going through all his posts in order and now I am speaking against these recent posts and getting all messy. Ugh my route is ruined!!!!

However I can tell you guys my motivations for using the cube day 1:
1) I had a cool power and I wanted to use it as fast as possible.
Ok, There isn't actually anything bad about the joke phase tho??2) I wanted to try to stop or at least cut down in size the amount of jokevotes and jokeposts on this thread.
Thats great, except you didn't do this in vaccum, you did this when a bulletproof had claimed and now he can be killed for free. But oops, since we don't know if hes town FOR SURE its 100% townie my bad.3) If I was going to give a "free" unblockable nightkill for the scum I'd rather have it be on the first night rather than later on. Because the less players we have on the game more likely it is for the scum to hit the cop or for the cop to hit the scum (because of less players on the game).

That wouldn't be so bad a case since yours is "You're scum because you know I'm scum"

Yes it is.

All information roles have to wait another day before getting information. This is literally the definition of being set back a day.Kanthulhu wrote:
2) I didn't set anyone back a day at all.
Two things:3) It's only pro-scum if you assume town has better role powers than scum. Why are concluding this and/or assuming this game is unbalanced in favor town?
For instance, it could be the case that this set up is, in fact, balanced in favor of scum power roles and by taking everyone powers for one day I'm actually helping the town.
We can't conclude either way without seeing the setup doc though.

Kanthulhu wrote:
There are town power roles that hinder town or confuse town rather being clearly helpful. Have you seen the setup doc?
Grilox wrote:Also I never sound ~unsure~ as town when I make my cases because there's no point in doing so. Only as scum do I pay that much attention to everything I do enough to try to have an ~unsure tone~

lison wrote:
No but you haven't either. Also there exists the possibility that people with hindering town power roles won't use their role, unlike you.
