Wow...that's...I don't think I ever heard of someone changing the voice actor IN BETWEEN episodes...

BREAKING NEWS:

The Spain-Spanish dub for Party For One has been uploaded to youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMvTi3czb9I&

(OH GOD, THEY FUCKED UP THE SINGING TELEGRAM SONG SO BAD! :gonkity: I don't even think that's the same voice actress who does Pinkie's singing voice...maybe she was ill and they had to find a quick replacement?)

The Spanish dubs should totally feature a lot of dramatic acoustic guitar music, sad horns, and castanets.

Latino and Brazilian dubs of Sonic Rainboom are up.
Brazil- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tMJGrmKbjU (with yet another Mr. Spitfire, apparently :gonkity: )
Latino- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSdIBGiMA2I

Also, I seems like there will be five episodes shown this week according to MyLittlePonyMx:
Para los que no sepan este semana se estrenaran 5 capítulos nuevos,se estrenara uno diario y este es unos de ellos. Para que queden bien lleva tiempo asi que talves algunos de esos episodios los suba pero mas en la tarde.

Esta es la lista de los episodios que se estrenaran en la semana:

La rain-plosión sónica
La mirada
Una loca función
Como perros y ponis
Verde de envidia
Crush. Kill. Destroy. Swag.

Rain-plosion sounds like a crappy movie that would be made for television and would star some 80's pop culture figure.

For anyone curious, the literal meaning of the translated titles is as follows:

The Sonic Rain-Splosion
The Stare (more prototypically, The Look)
A Crazy Show
Like Dogs and Ponies
Green with Envy

Whoever comes up with these is doing a really lazy job. "Como perros y ponis" seems to be a play on the expression "como perros y gatos" (like cats and dogs), but otherwise...

Should I wait till the end of the week to update the OP?

Haven't seen almost anything from Italy's dub because of a couple of my internet friends were critical about it, but since everyone here seems to agree on it being at least decent I'll give it a go and dig stuff out for you guys when I have some time to waste. Anything you want me to look for in particular?
I can already tell you something though, it looks like a reunion of Dexter's Lab VA team, because Rainbow Dash is Dexter, Gilda is Mandark, Cherilee is Deedee, Celestia is Dexter's Mom and Snips/Steven Magnet is Dexter's Dad (and THE JOKER)! :gotcha:

Yet another necrobump. Don't worry, this one's worth it.

So, you've probably seen by now the disastrous failure that is the official Brazilian dub - Spitdude, Rainbowldinho, Griffon the Brush-Off bring censored, Spike's cringeworthy voice and so on. Fortunately, Equestria BR (which isn't all that great for anything else but translations :-/ ) has subbed all of the episodes and dubbed a few of them. Watch them here:

Season 1

Season 2

Notice that all of their subtitles are YouTube-based, so it's also a good source if you want to download the episodes. All of their videos are unlisted and the brony phenomenon is relatively small in Brazil, thus their videos aren't likely to be taken down by trolls or Hasbro employees.

Well, there was a post a mere three days ago, but still. Don't worry, necromancy is the permanent state of this thread. :sheepish:

Okay, so they've fandubbed every single episode that's had an official dub aired? That's pretty impressive. They also had all the fandubs available for download, but the old ones were on Megaupload, so...

E: Okay, so it's only up to Sonic Rainboom, but that week had five episodes in a row. Fair's fair.

Weird Al used to record in a bathroom. :rainbert:

The Estonian one actually doesn't sound too bad (theme song aside), but I'm surprised how many of them sound like real kids. Except for... RD.

Judging by my rusty understanding of Chinese, the dub seems halfway decent. (But leaving the songs in English is just plain lazy...)
Now, when is Japan going to get a dub? You'd think it'd be huge over there by now.

I know nothing about Chinese, but it seems like they translated the names, right? Except for "Canderloshu."
Edit: Okay, maybe it's a mix. I hear "Pinkie", "Rainbow", and possibly "Luna."

Only mark against it seems to be that a lot of the incidental voices are pretty samey, like Twilight, the narrator, Applebloom, etc. in the beginning of the first episode.

Looks like MLP is on our Czech TV Barrandov now, today was the Call of the Cutie episode, so if any other Czechs are interested... :pinkieshrug:
I don't think it's worth it, though. It's like they didn't even read it after themselves when they translated it. Once it's Ponyville, then Poníkov, Appleloosa is for some reason Appleville, Braeburn is Jablečník (Appler? I don't even know what it's supposed to mean in Czech :iiam:) while Apple Bloom is sometimes Apple Bloom and sometimes Jablečný Květ (at least it's correctly translated), Twilight and the CMC are only one woman who isn't even trying to change her voice...
Just so you can get the picture - CZ At the Gala. It's a gem.

Yeah, the whole first season is dubbed and probably the second is in the works now, but nobody bothers to upload them to youtube (for obvious reasons).
If some of you would like to, I could try to get all the episodes from various sites and upload them to YT...
Also Aramek, Czech usually sounds better, it's just this tragic attempt at singing with forced voices :-/

And then Twilightlicious was Germanized. By no one other than the official German Twilight Sparkle.
(It's a pretty liberal translation - It translates to "I'm Twilight Sparkle, I like to learn and study, and nobody other than me has a pretty pink star - Twilightlicious!")

I'm not a big fan of German Fluttershy either, she doesn't even really sound soft most of the time. German Twilight however is at least decent, especially in later episodes, and the fact that she shows some interest in the fandom hopefully proves that VAs all over the world like their fans, not just our icons in the US.
