btw the reason it's easy to kill fish in a barrel is because of their lateral line organ which is sensitive to water pressure which a bullet will create an acoustic shockwave in front of it and create a high amount of pressure in the barrel killing the fish

Dad told me a survival trick that he learned during his military career. In order to find food for a group of men, throw a flashbang into a lake of fish. It'll stun and/or kill more than enough. Also the stunned fish have a tendency to flop upwards near to the surface, so it' super easy.

It's also a bad idea to light dynamite in water because if anyone's swimming nearby, the water pressure from the explosion will turn your organs into mush.
I learned that from Mythbusters

droogs are a race of dragon people from some MMO i'll never playPrincess Flufflebutt wrote: βMon Nov 06, 2017 4:47 amThere was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.
rassoodocks means "debt"
ultra-violence refers to the act of getting a tan

cocky just means horny
this is the name of the Ice King's tennis court, where frigid temperatures and slippery terrain make for a challenging match. very popular with tourists
cheeky means "having good taste"
NaNDOS is said to be the lesser-known sister of GLaDOS. NaNDOS is rumored to be so incredibly shy that no evidence of her existence has been confirmed
the phrase "cheeky nandos" stems from a rumor that the Portal games can only be completed due to the hidden, compassionate influence of NaNDOS

bumping this thread with two of my own 'submissions' that came up on discord recently
Dracula claims to have coined this phrase at some point while he was laying out the castle for his next incarnation. regardless, it never really caught on
"The opposing general had the gall to negotiate the terms of their surrender without a mask on. He's lucky that ours didn't spill the tea on his ass."
this phrase originates from a myth that had cropped up in the wake of the Mechanicsβ Union of Trade Associations being formed in 1827. the myth suggests that the fruits of one's labor will become cursed with flaws and defects when one has not been compensated fairly for said labor. the myth was largely believed to originate from MUTA, and when not taken at face value, got people thinking of ways in which fairer treatment would logically lead to better quality of work. in light of this, the phrase "pay the mechanic" became known throughout the labor movement as an expression that encompasses workers being treated fairly, despite there being no proven connection between the myth and MUTA
"The day society fully grasps the importance of paying the mechanic is the day we invent time travel."
