Anyway this vaycay is exactly what I needed and being in a wholly new place, having physical distance between my work and regular life really puts a new perspective on things.
Or rather, it creates room to vocalize things.
Travel is good for the soul.

Had a wonderful walking tour!
If you're wondering about more pictures I can't seem to log into TRS on my Surface so uploading from my camera is out for now.
Guess you can check my facebook soon??
Or if I'm not lazy I'll eownload pics from Faceboob and upload them here.

They're also up on the artist Discord! Not all of am mind but the ones I wanted to process fully so far.
Random thoughts:
- maybe the best food of any city I've been to.
- so many picturesque sights!!
- the Gothic Quarter is pretty dope.
- Ramblas is a massive tourist trap lol
- having my camera in my hand paints a target on me and I'm very much more alert
- Vermouth > Sangria
- Spanish people are really animated when they speak
- They're also generally warmer, more welcoming
- Bathroom door locks never indicate they're locked to the outside lol
- I think I love this city

it's not what I was referring to though, I was more hoping you'd put the pictures on Imgur or something later for the thread, Isaak :U Because your pics are dope and should be shared with my fellow Facebook-phobics here

Re: Isaak hecks off to Barcelona for a few days
And that was the final day.
Went to Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, the Roman exhibition in the Museum of History, the Cathedral, the cathedral and had stimulating conversations along the way.
Now in bed cuz we have to be up at six or some shit to be early enough for our flight.
Had an amazing time, have taken a liking for Vermouth, got inspired, took hundreds of photos, found some really cool, "real" places and have overall fallen in love with this city.
Good night!

Re: Isaak hecks off to Barcelona for a few days
pics!
Gothic Quarter
Barcelona's popular mode of transport with Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa EulΓ lia in the background.
The quarter is filled with little alleyways, nooks and crannies, making for really cool angles.
I really liked putting people in the context of the buildings surrounding them.
Tourguides just before our tour (which was pretty great)
La Boqueria Market
La Boqueria Market is just off of Las Ramblas, a famous street in Barcelona, so it's a bit of a tourist trap. Nevertheless it makes for great lighting and moods.
You can get whole fish here, shrimp, sweets, fruit, birds, hares and whatnot. What's interesting is that they're almost always "whole". They don't clean the animals, you're expected to do that yourself.
All of the photos at the Market were taken using the Canon FD 50mm f/1.8, which is a vintage, manual lens. It's technically imperfect but it has so much character. The above pic is maybe my favourite of the entire trip. I love the flare in the top left and how the fruit seems to pop from the photo.
North of Barcelona
Way up north you can find vantage points that overlook the entire city. Fun fact: the height differences between streets are so exreme they've actually installed escalators so you don't have to climb between them.
Los Caracoles
One of the nicest restaurants I've ever been to. It looks small from the outside, but inside it's a veritable maze of different rooms and stairs. The inside is all hardwood floors, with pictures of celebrity guests lining the walls.
Various things
Segrada Familia is... interesting? Total tourist trap, not sure I like the building. It feels "cheap" somehow, even though construction has been going on for over a century.
This sums up the city pretty well. This was taken in a small, super cozy restaurant where they didn't speak a word of English.
They did serve a 1,10 euro Vermouth tho. The leg there right of the middle is the famous Iberian Ham. The little bowl there hanging below it is there to catch the fat that drips off of it.
Alright that's about it. Hope you enjoyed the little show and tell
