Rabbits have cleft mouths, and the clue is in the term "harelip". They don't look right with lips because it's like putting a thread of flesh across the gap they naturally have.
Would they maybe evolve lips that are at least a little more human-like, as part of being able to speak? Admittedly, lips like ours aren't a strict requirement for language (see how birds can talk despite not having lips).

You can find videos on how a cleft lip impacts on human speech. Seems like a lot of anthros would struggle mainly with sounds like the ng in finger and the mb in bomb, but not so far as to be unintelligible.

rabbit is stringy and tough. a little like lamb but stringier.

research on this matter is inconclusive, as those who exhibit this condition are considered too dangerous to survey

Be careful when eating rabbit.
I think I got this like 10 years ago when my mom and sister got me to try the Atkins diet.

That was not a good idea.

Also known as "mal de caribou"... does reindeer meat have the same problem?

"Venison burgers are typically so lean as to require the addition of fat in the form of bacon, olive oil or cheese, or blending with beef, to achieve parity with hamburger cooking time, texture, and taste."

sounds like it might be a problem

Unfortunately the article on the actual condition doesn't mention deer of any type, that I can see.

yeah reindeer and moose are pretty dry, but really it depends on your taste if you want to add shit to it or not. plus depends on how you cook it and where it's used. in a pizza reindeer will usually be accompanied by a fattier meat like ham, and in a traditional käristys it'll be cooked with a shitload of salted fat

If rabbits are that lean then that must mean Judy's monster thighs are pure muscle.

bunnies have some absurd hind leg strength for their size. i rarely get to hear it, but when angel thumps the sound is comparable to a balloon popping

The single best burger I've ever had was an elk burger with a portobello mushroom sauce and a spicy cheese topped with arugula.

My aunt spayed a pet bunny once. They have, like, a shitload of fallopian tubes, like two arm yanks.

"No wonder they have so many babies."

What I'm saying is that her abortion would have been more expensive.
