Hark! The Streaming Angels Sing [STREAM TODAY]
Alrighto! I've exposed y'all to the worst of the worst that my Christmas special collection had to offer, and to make up for I'm back today with some legitimate goodies.
At 22:30 German Time / 4:30 PM EST, I'm gonna be showing Arthur Christmas, the best Christmas movie I've ever seen and one that I'm very happy I made a tradition out of showing. Even if you're not a big Christmas person, this collaboration between Aardman (writing) and Sony (animation) is super fun, super charming and has some real good heart to it. If you're gonna make it to one movie, make it to this one.

After that, I know people are interested in seeing Minty Christmas again at the very least, but it'll be likely way past my bedtime and so I'm afraid I'll have to pass on hosting that. I'm sorry I'm failing the spirit of socks. However, I know ya silly Americans and most other folks are not celebrating Christmas quite yet on the 24th, so if someone else would like to step up, I can supply them with the video and they can host the stream sometime tomorrow while I'm busy!
I hope to see y'all later for Arthur Christmas, and I hope someone has time to host some minty time tomorrow or later today. Just post here and let me know! :minty:

If I'm not there, then I had to go to bed earlier than planned, so no need to worry.

This is a really sweet movie and I absolutely love the cast they got. I saw a movie on Netflix called "Get Santa" today and Jim Broadbent plays Santa again, and whenever he talks I just hear this movie's Santa.
I also love the elves in this and their freak out at the end.

So yeah I did fall asleep. Sorry about that. If everyone would like, I could show the movie on Christmas Eve instead, whenever I'm done with my festivities (around afternoon US time).

I watched it last week, but it's something I would happily watch again with friends.

Re: Hark! The Streaming Angels Sing [STREAM TODAY]
I'm hijacking this thread with A GREAT NEW BELATED CHRISTMAS STREAM OF MY OWN! Perry's shown you a modern holiday classic, but I'm going to show you something even better--a classic holiday classic! We're watching the good old Christmas staple How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the clever, classic, animated take on the classic Dr. Seuss story about a grumpy green guy who hates Christmas a lot.
It's a colorful, wholesome family classic, crafted under the creative direction of master animator Chuck Jones, with a well-worn but always-important message about the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of, like, being a good person and stuff.
We'll be streaming this Thursday at 3 PM EST so be sure to swing on by for a good time with this beloved Christmas classic!
And be sure to stick around after, because I'm going to keep the Seuss train rolling with the less-remembered 1971 adaptation of The Cat in the Hat, which may not have the prestige of Grinch but should be a fun watch regardless. I'm sure some of you had it on VHS as kids or whatever.
