Cubs win and are 5-1 against the Brewers so far this year!
Yu Darvish threw one of the sickest curveballs I've ever seen. 64 mph.

Brewers scored 2 runs in the entire 4-game series.
The Cubs have won 7 of 8 against the Brewers so far this season, with 5 of those being shutouts.

Cubs are in first place, hopefully for good now. I'll be at the game tomorrow, so I'm ready to accept the blame for ruining our undefeated homestand.

Hoo boy it'd be nice if the Cubs' offense would show up. They've averaged exactly 2 runs per game over their past 8 games, and are somehow miraculously 5-3 in that stretch.

I'm going to The Chicago Dogs' first ever home game tomorrow and I'm super excited. They have one of the best logos in sports history, so I'm absolutely going to be buying a T-Shirt.

Cubs are now 5-10 in 1-run games, 3-4 in 2-run games, and 4-4 in 3-run games. So they're 12-18 in games decided by 3 or fewer runs. They're 17-5 in games decided by 4 or more runs.

Ian Happ made 3 amazing catches in today's game
This one in the 3rd inning
This one in the 6th inning
And this one to end the game in the 9th
Len called it a "Happ Trick"

The Mariners won by 1 run again today, so more than half of their wins now are by exactly 1 run. 21 of their 41 total wins.

Mariners split their series with Boston
also man the AL is so firmly divided between a few really good teams and a lot of really bad teams, the playoff odds graph is hilarious
You can really see just how huge of an effect the Mariners sweep of the Angels last week had

Javy Baez just stole home for the 4th time in his career, the 2nd time this season. He's only 25 and he's already tied Rickey Henderson for career times stealing home.

I don't understand why you would downplay an amazing and rare feat in baseball, especially when he made an incredible slide to avoid the tag as well. A player has stolen home 7 times this season and Javy Baez is two of them.

The Marlins' attendance for July 4th was 7,572.
Every other Major League team outdrew the Marlins in attendance.
All 15 AAA games outdrew the Marlins.
4 AA games outdrew the Marlins.
2 high-A games outdrew the Marlins.
5 low-A games outdrew the Marlins.

Re: this surely isn't the ORIOLES' year!!! (baseball)
Jeez, even our podunk rookie league team had a crowd 52% that size in the last home game on the 3rd. Admittedly that's not normal (it was an all-time record, hence why even I ended up hearing about it), but neither is a major league game being so poorly attended.
