And a sweep for the Islanders as they eliminate Pittsburgh.

I see that with Tampa Bay eliminated, the curse of the President's Trophy has dropped back down to its next-most-recent bearer.

Avs come back from 0-2 in the third to tie it up, then win in an amazing overtime. Up 3-1!

Re: Hockey! NHL, KHL, AHL, and Every Other HL
So we got trounced in our last regular-season game in my league because the other team had the ringer to end all ringers. Welp today I just found out he plays college hockey for The Illini. Why the hell he was in a low-level men's league is beyond me.

Still not sure if I should be sad or glad that I don't have cable anymore and thus at best experience games like these only over the radio.

I think i'd rather the Avs play the Sharks, so go Sharks.
I'd also like a game 7 to watch.

Well, I can't say I expected a first-round exit, but it at least looks like we went out with honor tonight. I wish I weren't currently so exhausted and messed up from allergies to where I had to go to bed before the end of the first period.

On one hand, I love watching Game 7s. On the other hand, I'm glad the Predators were eliminated
they've beaten the Avs too many times. Sorry, Fizz.

Oh man, there is going to be SO much salt from Vegas.
I think that was a fair penalty call. Cheap hit, push to the ice, and blood.
And agree with the penalty or not, letting them, score 4 times in a power play is just unacceptable on Vegas' part.

Holy shit the Sharks were down 3-0 and then scored 4 goals on the same power play.

I'm glad the Sharks won for 2 reasons:
- 1. The greatest game 7 comeback I've ever seen wasn't nullified
- 2. I won't have to deal with playoff crowds while I'm in Vegas this weekend.

never quite seen a game like that before, and a game 7 to boot.
awful call but Vegas played AWFUL defense in the next 5 minutes afterwards

It wasn't an awful call. Dude got cross-checked away from the puck and was gushing blood out of his head. Definitely worthy of a 5-minute major.

So when's the last time every single first-seeded team lost? This is shaping up to be a strange postseason.

Re: Hockey! NHL, KHL, AHL, and Every Other HL
Our captain was injured for our semifinal game, so we were pretty much doomed before the game started, but we played our asses off and held the team we'd lost twice to in the regular season to a 1-0 game. We play for 3rd place on Tuesday night and I feel confident that we can win even if our captain is still hurt.
I'm already signed up for the Summer league. I'm having so much fun.
