Although it’s the offseason, there are still some loose ends to wrap up from cons, and this one is a pretty big one. At Everfree Northwest 2013, the crew there held a big charity auction, and raised a bunch of dough. Well, now that money is in the hands of those who need it. The EFNW crew has delivered the proceeds of its charity auction, totaling $21,070, to the Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Meanwhile, several staff positions have opened, like web content administrator, secretary of the committee, director of information technology, and more. If you want to get involved with the staff, send an email to [email protected]. Check behind the cut for the full list of openings.
Bronies for Good is pushing its blood drive donation, Nurse Redheart’s Round-Up. By promoting the need for blood across the world, BfG wants fans of the show to do what they can to fill the need. All you need is some documentation of your donation (such as testimony, a photo, a copy of donation forms, etc) and post it on the NRR thread in Ponychan. This will enter you into a prize drawing for neat stuff!

Cancer’s a serious subject, even for those of us who like pastel colored horses. Andrea Libman, the voice of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, is working hard to help fight the battle against cancer of all kinds. Andrea is working with us and other pony news sites like Derpy Hooves News and Equestria Daily to help raise funds to fight cancer, and below she’s written a letter she’d like to share with everyone.
In less than two weeks, I’ll be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 2-day cycling journey from Vancouver to Seattle to raise funds for the BC Cancer Foundation. While fundraising this year, I’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible support of fans. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised over $17,000 that will contribute to the fight against cancer.
In the days leading up the ride, my team is working to meet their fundraising goals. So, until June 14, 2013, if you donate $50 or more to one of my teammates who hasn’t yet met their goal, I will mail you a personalized autograph to say thanks. Remember to include your address in the notes section of your donation.
Additionally, we have received some incredible donated items including art by DeathPwny and a Rainbow Dash cycling jersey from Kyle. I will signing these items which are up for auction on eBay. Please consider bidding to support this cause.
Thank you so much!
