» USA Today Article About Ponies Features “Magic Duel” Preview, Comic Pages

Twilight Rocks!

These things just keep coming earlier and earlier: USA Today has an article today about ponies, and they’ve snuck in the first preview clip for this Saturday’s upcoming episode, “Magic Duel.” As always, the clip’s a spoiler; if you do not want to know anything about the upcoming episode, I advise against reading the article. However, if you do choose  The article is more than just a clip to hawk the upcoming episode, however: it contains a significant amount of qoutes from Katie Cook and Andy Price, the writing and drawing duo behind the upcoming FiM comic that’s being released this Wednesday.

The post also contains several preview pages from the upcoming comic book, including the not-yet-seen Ghost cover variant.

» Possible Writer Revealed?

A recent Tweet by Amy Keating Rogers has strongly hinted at a new addition to the writing team of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic for upcoming episodes. The tweet lists Corey Powell as a possible writer, she has worked on shows including Growing Up Creepie and The Land Before Time.

While we try to avoid speculation this news is a very strong implication that we cannot confirm until an episode is written with Corey Powell credited.

Amy wrote 11 FIM episodes before leaving the show to become story editor for Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot where Corey is currently writing. In the past Natasha Levinger was also rumored as a new addition to the writing staff for future FIM episodes after Season Three.

» Two Season 3 clips emerge


The HUB have released two clips from Season 3 of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic via the website pixelatedgeek.com.  This weekends San Diego ComiCon has featured plenty of pony things already including a voice actors panel which included the first clip. We hope to post a video and breakdown of the panel once a video of it emerges online.
