» Equestria Girls Trailer and Details


An article by the New York Times has revealed a lot of new information about the upcoming cinema screening of My Little Pony: Equestria Girls.

“Our goal is to stay true to who those characters are,” said Meghan McCarthy, the head writer for the movie, adding that the high school setting allowed for new storytelling possibilities. “It’s new but still an extension of our mythology.”

My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, an upcoming spin off of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic will be having a special cinema premiere on June 16th, 2013 at select theaters.  While Equestria Girls will have its official launch by Hasbro at this years San Diego Comic Con (July 18-21) we now have a brief synopsis of the movie which fits in with the future storybook synopsis due out in October from Little Brown Books.

» My Little Pony Comics #4 Preview Pages Available

MLP Issue #4 Special Cover

Today on iTunes preview pages for issue #4 of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comic book by IDW Publishing are out! This is unusual, as we don’t get previews until a few weeks before the release, let alone before #3 is out. The comic is tentatively slated for a March 6th release date, and this is the final issue of the first four-issue story arc featuring art by Andy Price, writing by Katie Cook, colors by Heather Breckel, and lettering by Robbie Robbins.
