» Equestria Girls Television Premiere Set For September 1

If you can’t or don’t want to go to a theater and want to avoid the upcoming Blu-Ray/DVD release of Equestria Girls, yet still want to see the movie? Well, if you can tolerate advertising, the Equestria Girls movie will be premiering on the Hub, and it’ll be here Real Soon Now™.

According to Hollywood Reporter via DHN, the movie will premiere on The Hub on September 1, 2013 at noon eastern, 9 AM pacific. So it’s not that far away, relatively speaking. The Hub is teaming it up with a fan favorite vote during San Diego Comic Con this weekend, which will help determine the content of a pre-movie marathon.

» The Hub Releases Season 3 Finale Party Kit

Like they did for the Season 2 finale, The Hub has released a party and activity kit on their website for fans and families to help “celebrate” the end of season 3. Much like the season 2 party kit, it contains recipe cards for punch and cake, new coloring pages, an activity book, and some cut-outs.

The contents of the kit are very mild spoilers, but if you’re up to using one of these you’re probably buying into the hype machine anyway. 

» Stay Pony My Friends – New Hub General Promo

The Hub have released a new promo video for the show, referencing the Dos Equis ‘Most Interesting Man in the World’ advertising campaign with a possible nod towards the videos of community member Dustykat.

» Season 3 Premiere Ratings Up Year-to-Year

The Hub have released ratings for the season 3 premiere of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and ratings have soared compared to the past two years and helped the new show Littlest Pet Shop gain the networks highest ever ratings for an original show premiere.

The statistics showed a drop off in the second episode when it was aired back-to-back but still a strong growth over all. It is the 45th week of continuous ratings gains for the network, which is now one of the fastest growing cable networks in the USA this year.

The full two-part season premiere of “My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic” (Saturday, 10–11 a.m.) earned year-to-year delivery gains among Kids 2-11 (+183%, 342,000), Kids 6-11 (+273%, 153,000), Women 18-49 (+207%, 92,000), Adults 18-49 (+194%, 156,000), Persons 2+ (+204%, 601,000) and Households (+183%, 331,000).
