I made a mistake of looking at comments on the Jim Cummings thing.

Ever notice in divorce cases people seem to demonize the women more often? Gee, I wonder why :-/

Oh great, the shit show doesn't stop there: YouTuber ProJared Accused Of Sexually Soliciting Fans
Jared “ProJared” Knabenbauer, a gaming YouTuber who had over a million subscribers before today’s events, has been accused of sending nudes to and soliciting nudes from fans, one of whom says they were underage at the time of the solicitation. The allegations were first published last night by his wife, artist and cosplayer Heidi O’Ferrall, who is also accusing him of having cheated on her.
Also, all videos of the GameGrumps collaborating with ProJared have been removed from their channel.

This is the only official source on the news of the custody battle that I can find. The only news sources I can find reporting on this got the source from the tweet.

And yeah, I should note, just because he got the custody doesn't mean he didn't do those things to his ex-wife.

Brb gonna call him an asshole so his lawyers have to distinguish between his possession of a butthole and his personality.

I feel really bad for Monica Rial and everyone else who had to deal with this slimy creep and his legion of shitty fans.

I don't think it's a secret that Max Landis is a piece of shit, but WOW fuck him.

He oughta be in prison, along with his dad (even if the jury acquitted him).

Jeremy Soule, the Elder Scrolls composer, is a rapist. This is a very difficult read, with all the cws in the world.

Something Lawhead says in this piece that I find very relevant:
When you defend rapists, and bemoan the cultural loss of their work when they get called out, think about the bigger loss that could have been the contributions of their victims. I have things to contribute too. I have art to put out there too. I matter too. Other victims do too.

Which role did Alec have on Night in the Woods? Scott was the one who did the actual writing, right? Just trying not to get my creators confused here.

Jeremy Soule always gave me weird vibes. This on top of him being a notorious kickstarter scammer at this point sadly confirms that feeling.

Big barf about both of these things. Why the fuck can't people just not be awful.

Alec did the music and programming, art was Scott Benson, and writing was both Benson and Bethany Hockenberry.

Its impossible to engage with any culture pure of abusers, shitheads, or monsters. Even victims pull from the common cultural pools that include work by abusers. The ancient greeks were slaving slavers who slaved but no one will bat an eye if you draw from an ancient greek tragedy because the context of their shortcomings is understood.

When a major player in production is revealed to be an abuser it colors the work because it must be re-analyzed in that context. If you need distance yourself from art from recently revealed abusers, and feel betrayed by the revelation of their abusive nature, that's perfectly normal and natural. If the work is culturally significant it will endure with the asterisk of the potential problematic themes the author(s) might have brought to the table. If it isn't, then it was nothing more than an amusement and no one is any worse off for realizing that the carnival ride was run by a shithead and we don't really care about that particular carnival ride.

tl:dr: The Cosby show will endure, but it will always be remembered in context of that abuse, and the fathers knows best themes will be analyzed in that context, and rightly so. But you personally shouldn't feel compelled to watch it and anyone who complains about it potentially being lost as a reason as to why abuse should be ignored is just a shithead.

Twelve Forever creator Julia Vickerman is a pedo, apparently (like, the now-deleted post on her Tumblr ever HAD A TAG saying as much).

Not only that, she was seemingly fired early in the show's production for sexually harassing crew members. I don't have much info on this because most of the posts I can find about it are on 4chan (not exactly the most reliable source on anything), but I can verify that a lawsuit has been filed against the show's producers, having found it listed on the California court's website.

The animation studio that made the show is no longer around, btw. It shut down when the production wrapped.

I've seen the original post. I do not recommend looking for it. It is VILE. Absolutely disgusting, and if it were a man talking about a teen girl, there would be more fireworks. There is a lot of anger, but there are also people saying "It was 9 years ago! Cancel culture is meeeeean!"

Look, she's about my age. A decade ago I was in my 20's. There's no excuse. Teens are babies. You don't go around stalking a kid at a fair because you're attracted to him. And I don't care if the original post is meant as a joke (never saw any indication that it was?), it's gross. We're not talking about making one politically-incorrect joke, she literally bragged about stalking a kid.

People like this should never work on any kids' shows ever. Especially since some of them hire child voice actors.

Roc Upchurch is putting out a new comic book, years after he got fired from "The Rat Queens" after his arrest for domestic abuse.

The synopsis for the new comic?
Lucy Claire was once a celebrated hero. But through a series of sinister events, she was slandered and defamed, and her children were taken from her. But when an old danger re-emerges, Lucy will have to take on the mantle of hero once again in order to right the wrongs of her past and—above all else—find a way back to her children.

Chris Savino does not want to be remembered as the guy who made working in the animation industry a living hell for his female colleagues.
Yeah, no, a bit late for that. He's acting like it's not his fault, and that going to church will fix all this. He's acting like we're the bad ones for finding him creepy and gross.

(And I looked up the book he's making and apparently it's about a kid who's kidnapped and forced to work in Santa's coal mine. :-I There's a really horrible youtube video that looks like it was made in 5 minutes for Hallmark Channel's Christmas Trash Festival.)

Take it with a huge grain of salt, of course, because it’s an anonymous source. But Dan Schneider has deleted tens of thousands of tweets over the last week. Also, all the content warnings in the world apply. This thread made me feel sick.

Edit: Former Nick actress Alexa Nikolas is the first Nick star to go on the record confirming the open secrets against Schneider, and will be in a documentary about the subject. She is verifying the accounts in the above thread, no need to doubt it any more.

California recently passed a law where they expanded the statute of limitations for reporting child sexual abuse. In addition, starting this January they're suspending the statute for 3 years, allowing victims to file charges no matter how long ago they were assaulted.

I'm mentioning this because Robyn Byrd indicated that, as soon as this goes into effect, she will file against John K.

I searched around animation twitter for this, trying to find more info. Turns out he was super notorious for this in the French animation industry, with multiple allegations against him. Like holy shit.

This one will require a bit of explaining.

During the height of the #MeToo movement it came out that a indie comic creator and publisher had a history of sexual assault and rape (among other things). The victims spoke out, distributing a Google Doc with accounts of it.

The said publisher retaliated by launching a defamation lawsuit against 11 of the people who spoke out in 2018, asking for $2.5 million in damages. More info here.

Flash forward to 2 years later, the case was dropped for 8 of the defendants, but the other 3 still need to finish it out. As you can imagine, a lawsuit of this nature is extremely expensive, and they need the funding to help cover it. They have a GoFundMe page set up here.
