Should I create electronically with a game maker?

It's lovely, darling! (Fanart, Fanfics, Pony or not Pony. If you're creative, post here!)

Should I create electronically with a game maker?

You know, those programs that kind of do most of the heavy lifting but have limits, especially since the ones I might use are from the 80s and most run on 1 mhz computers.

So what might I use and what would it be so maaaaybe someone may inspire me to get off my butt and JUST DOOO EEEEET.

An old favorite I actually have TWO physical copies of. Its a limited RPG maker but its super easy to use and pretty versatile.
IDEA: Friday the 13th the NES game the RPG. Take a doofy but interesting licensed game and make it into a proper RPG more or less. I mean I even found a notebook a while back with some of my notes for doing it as a tabletop game. Why not make it digital?

Another one I actually own, but I don't own multiple versions. Only one of the 8 bit ports. Its simple but it could make a nifty little wargame or two. The manual says if its Player V CPU to effectively give said CPU nearly double the forces of the player though. And you have a 31 unit per side limit.
IDEA: See about maybe making the Dougram Simulation Boargames in it. ARENT THEY THE MOST ADORBS THING? http://wargamedork.blogspot.com/2016/12 ... art-1.html

(Oddly enough I had a LP/Blog project idea involving these games where I both learned them, maybe even designed a simple AI, but enhanced and expanded them to use Squad Leader geomorphic hex maps.)

For its title it is.. really damn limited! You are stuck using Gold Box 1st ed AD&D rules but only Forgotten Realms series rules so no Dragonlance stuff or Buck Rogers. There are gobs of fan hacks to make it do more but they get ridiculous after a point to work.
IDEA: HORROR AT HOLK'S KEEP. A generic semi sandbox campaign where adventurers go to an island that was once colonized and fortified by Vandervar Holk, a renowned explorer and builder. Explore the island and its blighted keep! Buy stuff from the Goblin WARMASTA DUGGIE and his pet Dragon who Duggie insists isn't a large Green Dragon but some sort of riding animal. The Dragon seems to approve! Fight your way through the caverns and monster lairs on the island as you prepare for the keep itself. What happened here to lead such a prosperous outpost to become a place of nightmares?

And while I don't have or really want to use them to make a game (depending on title) there are a couple other game makers others may like:

So.. what do yall think? Should I do it to it?
