As a headsup, please do not use insulting fetish terms to refer to characters or real people. If you are not certain if a term is insulting, look it up first. Rule of thumb: If it's a term that treats a racial/gender/sexual identity as a fetish, chances are high you don't want to use it here.

Captain Rufus has been banned after multiple incidents of curmudgeonly, unpleasant behavior, particularly regarding LGBT and minority issues in games and media. Despite continued attempts from the moderator team asking him to change, he continued acting out to the point where we banned him today.

ToastGhost was banned from the forums and Discord after crossing a very, very critical line when handling a personal dispute. This was a decision we made as a team, and a decision the mod team absolutely did not make lightly. We discussed this heavily and ultimately came to this decision.

I have to make this absolutely clear: No matter what your personal issue is with someone, no matter what happened between you and a fellow poster, you do not, under any circumstances, threaten people with doxing and harassment. If you have serious issues with someone here, you bring them to us and we'll do our very best to mediate and support. That includes if your issue is with someone from the mod team - Talk to a moderator of your choice and ask for confidentiality, we will absolutely respect that. But, you cannot make these matters public in a very damaging way, or threaten to do even worse with highly private information. When you behave this way, you make it abundantly clear that you cannot be relied upon to maintain the most basic level of trust we as a community are expected to have for each other.

We sincerely hope ToastGhost gets professional help and support and understands why this behaviour was beyond harmful. It might sound trite but we really hope things improve for him, but we had to act in the interest of the safety of the community.

I'm very unhappy I have to even say this, but obviously, the afforementioned applies to everyone, including banned members. If we find out you have been leaking someone's personal information on purpose, whether they are a banned user or not, you will be given the boot. This is a zero tolerance issue.

Soft Snow has been banned for a month and has been asked to use that time to get professional mental healthcare. If things have gotten so bad for you that you are considering eating unidentified wild mushrooms and then publicly chatting on Discord about how sick you feel afterwards, we recommend you seek help too.
